Dead and Starving Animals Reportedly Found on Property: Demand Maximum Punishment

Target: Glenn Hess, State Attorney, Fourteenth Judicial Circuit, Florida

Goal: Pursue maximum aggravated animal cruelty penalties against any individuals allegedly responsible for starving and neglecting numerous animals discovered on a property.

A horrifying investigation intensified after deputies executing a search warrant in Calhoun County reportedly discovered dead and severely malnourished animals across a local property. Investigators state that they found goats, chickens, rabbits, dogs, and cats living in unsanitary conditions without reliable access to adequate food or water.

Authorities arrested Dawn Elrod in connection with the case after the investigation began from a concerned citizen’s complaint regarding animal suffering on the property. Deputies also alleged that Elrod attempted to physically prevent a witness from leaving to report the reported conditions. Officials later filed multiple aggravated animal cruelty charges connected to the case.

Surviving animals have been removed by animal control officers and placed into rehabilitation care while investigators continue reviewing evidence. If substantiated, these allegations would represent prolonged neglect and severe suffering inflicted upon numerous vulnerable animals.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear State Attorney Hess,

Authorities have made allegations involving numerous animals found dead or severely malnourished on a property reportedly lacking adequate food, water, and sanitary living conditions.

Investigators filed aggravated animal cruelty charges after deputies documented the reported conditions and removed surviving animals for rehabilitation. If proven, the alleged conduct would represent severe neglect and prolonged suffering involving multiple species of defenseless animals.

We urge your office to pursue maximum penalties against any individuals found responsible and continue investigating whether additional charges may be warranted in this alleged cruelty case.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]
