25 Sledding Dogs Reportedly Found Chained and Frozen to Death Despite Pleas to Rescue Them Deserve Justice

Target: Mike Dunleavy, Governor of Alaska

Goal: Ensure strict legal penalties and reforms are implemented following the alleged deaths of 25 dogs at a kennel.

A heartbreaking discovery at Walker’s Wild Ride in Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Alaska, revealed a horrific scene as 25 dogs were allegedly found dead in their shelters, chained and left to die from months of neglect. Eyewitness accounts describe a haunting silence where the usual sounds of barking should be, interrupted only by the chilling realization of dogs frozen in place, their lifeless bodies a stark testimony to the cruelty they suffered. One lone survivor was reportedly left to witness this tragedy, slowly starving, highlighting the desperate need for accountability in such abuses.

Investigations have unveiled that local citizens attempted to alert authorities about the dogs’ suffering, yet their concerns were reportedly dismissed by authorities. A local resident even claimed she brought food and bedding for the dogs but was turned away by an officer. This apparent negligence by officials allowed the tragedy to escalate to an unimaginable level, leading to 25 dogs enduring a torturous fate. Following the arrest of the kennel’s owner on 26 counts of Cruelty to Animals, it is imperative that not only justice is served but that comprehensive changes are made to prevent future atrocities in the dog-sledding industry.

The demand for appropriate punishment is necessary to ensure that such reported cruelty does not happen again. It is essential to demand accountability not just for the welfare of these dogs but also to influence a shift in how dog-sledding operations are managed in Alaska.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Governor Dunleavy,

Recent allegations surrounding Walker’s Wild Ride in Matanuska-Susitna Borough have highlighted the gross neglect and cruelty that seemingly led to the deaths of 25 dogs. Eyewitness accounts describe how these innocent animals were reportedly chained and left to suffer a slow death, with one dog tragically forced to witness the deaths of its companions. This horrendous situation escalated despite multiple warnings from concerned locals, who were reportedly dismissed by authorities.

It is unfathomable that so many lives could be lost, and swift action must be taken to hold those responsible accountable. The arrest of the kennel’s owner for 26 counts of Cruelty to Animals is a necessary first step, but it must be accompanied by stricter regulations and penalties for similar cases in the future. The community’s outcry must lead to a systemic change in how animal welfare is enforced in the dog-sledding industry in Alaska.

We urge you to implement stringent legal repercussions and reforms to ensure the safety and well-being of all animals at risk of such treatment. Immediate action is needed.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

They way these dear dogs are manipulated, used and then abused is known by the whole f…ing world. How can you be blind to letting this torture happen to your loyal sled dogs!!! SHAME SHAME I hope everyone involved in any capacity has themselves the very same tragic end.

Ich stimme dir absolut zu, es ist unerträglich was diese verdammten Menschen den Tieren antun.

  3. Agree all comments do the same to them, justice now. Ban this sport.

  4. Tina Colafranceschi says:

These people should be chained to a dog house and left there to starve like the dogs ,an eye for an eye

    • Yes I agree with you. And let them freeze and die. Fucking bastards. So many people don’t have money to adopt a dog and love him. But some monsters let these beautiful dogs alone and don’t care if they die. I hope that your death will be slow and you will agonize in excruciating pain. An eye for an eye. That’s the only justice in memory of these lovely dogs.

  5. Death penalty. Tie the ppl to the dog kennels and leave them out to starve and freeze. Except dont leave one alive.

  6. Absolutely No Tolerance Towards Animal Abusers n Cruelty. An eye for an eye fits this crime n should be the punishment. Paws Matter 🐾 THERE SHOULD ALSO BE ACCOUNTABILITY TO THE OFFICER/OFFICERS WHOM DENIED OTHERS FROM RESCUING THESE POOR INNOCENT BEINGS WHO TRUST HUMANS FOR THEIR CARE

  7. Jane Martin says:

The authorities that local citizens reported this to should be charged for protecting the abusers. If cops and authorities don’t do their jobs in Alaska, why not fire them, or at the very least name them, so they can be fined for aiding and abetting those who were refusing food, water, shelter, and safety to this dogs.

Who were the authorities who protected the abusers? Why does this petition from Force for Change not call them out too?

  8. ormai sono morti, l’appello a che serve? Incatenate loro al freddo. Quando si sa che conseguenze avranno, altri ci penseranno bene prima di fare gli idioti
