Stop Torturing Animals to Test Beauty Products

Target: Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India

Goal: Enforce and expand current bans on animal testing for cosmetics, ensuring no animal suffers for beauty products.

Reports have surfaced highlighting a grim reality. Allegedly, thousands of innocent animals are subjected to painful and unnecessary tests for the sake of beauty products. This practice not only raises ethical concerns but also casts doubt on the efficacy of these tests due to significant physiological differences between humans and animals.

Further details reveal that a single test can involve over a thousand animals. These creatures reportedly undergo severe distress as substances are forced into their eyes, smeared on shaved skin, or sprayed on their faces.

Despite a ban on animal testing for cosmetics and their ingredients in India since 2014, the need for stricter enforcement and broader regulations remains critical. PETA India has made strides by collaborating with celebrity-led beauty brands and promoting cruelty-free products. However, a stronger stance from regulatory bodies is essential to end this cruelty truly.

Demand immediate action to not only enforce existing bans but also to broaden these regulations, ensuring that no animal is subjected to such brutal tests for the sake of human vanity.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear PM Modi,

Disturbing reports indicate that despite existing laws, thousands of animals may still suffer in the name of cosmetic testing. It’s alleged that these tests, often involving excruciating procedures, are not only unethical but largely ineffective due to the vast differences between species.

This situation not only tarnishes our nation’s ethical standards but also undermines our commitment to humane scientific practices. The collaboration between PETA India and five celebrity-led beauty brands signifies a step forward, showcasing the feasibility and success of cruelty-free alternatives.

Yet, without stronger legal frameworks and enforcement, such initiatives can only achieve so much. We urge you to take decisive action. Enforce existing laws rigorously and consider expanding these bans to cover a wider range of products and ingredients. By doing so, India can lead by example, proving that beauty and personal care need not come at the cost of animal suffering.

Sincerely,

Testing products on beings that do not use those products is ridiculous. Rabbits are not people, mice are not people and so on. Computer models work better than testing does and until animals wear makeup this is just shoddy science and a poor excuse for some persons job. Stop abusing animals for bogus experiments and pretend science.

Test that fucking shit on women OK cause they are the bitches that wears this shit not animals
