Stop Trophy Hunting of African Lions

Target: Ms. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania

Goal: Ban trophy hunting of African lions in Tanzania to protect the species and promote sustainable tourism.

The hunting of African lions in Tanzania has been a controversial issue for years. While proponents argue that trophy hunting generates revenue and supports conservation efforts, opponents argue that it is cruel and unsustainable, leading to the decline of lion populations and damaging the country’s reputation as a wildlife tourism destination.

It is essential that immediate action be taken to protect the African lion and promote sustainable tourism in Tanzania. This requires a ban on trophy hunting, as well as increased efforts to protect lion habitats, strengthen anti-poaching measures, and promote alternative livelihoods for local communities.

By banning trophy hunting and promoting sustainable tourism, we can protect the African lion and ensure the long-term wellbeing of Tanzania’s people and economy. We strongly urge President Hassan to take immediate action and support this critical initiative.

Through the banning of trophy hunting, protection of lion habitats, and promotion of sustainable tourism, we can protect the African lion and promote the sustainable development of Tanzania. Urge President Hassan to take action and support these efforts.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear President Hassan,

I am writing to urge you to ban the trophy hunting of African lions in Tanzania to protect the species and promote sustainable tourism. Trophy hunting has long been a controversial issue, with opponents arguing that it is unsustainable and harmful to wildlife populations and the country’s reputation as a wildlife tourism destination.

To address this issue, we need to ban trophy hunting, increase efforts to protect lion habitats, strengthen anti-poaching measures, and promote alternative livelihoods for local communities.

We urge the government to implement stricter enforcement of existing wildlife protection laws and regulations, as well as to impose severe penalties on those who engage in the illegal killing of lions.

We strongly urge you, Ms. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania, to take immediate action and support efforts to end the hunting of African lions in Tanzania.

Thank you for your attention to this critical issue.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

ANY P.O.S. who would shoot an animal they don’t intend to eat, is a filthy, low-down piece of rotted dog puke.

  2. To allow your lions to be hunted to extinction is beyond understanding. If you decided to profit from the revenues collected by tourists who want to see lions in the wild, that would be respected. Your country profits and the animals are safeguarded. However I fear you want to profit yourself by allowing murderers to kill all your lions and collect the profits from these so called trophy hunters. Surely you must care how your country and the people of your country will survive after all the creatures are gone. It’s something to seriously consider.

    • Well said, these people don’t understand no Lions to hunt no money which seems to be their objective. Photographers and tourists will spend much more to see these majestic animals and have a treasure for a life time.

    • Animal vigilante says:

EXCELLENT POINT!! I PRAY THEY DO NOT ALLOW THE DISGUSTING KILLING OF ANIMALS. IF THEY DO ALLOW THE RUTHLESS, POINTLESS KILLING OF ALL ANIMALS FOR GREEDY PROFIT I PRAY ALL RESPONSIBLE STARVE TO DEATH–NO APOLOGIES, ZERO FUCKS GIVEN!!

  3. Trophy hunting is a sick sport and should be outlawed for all animals.

  4. Ruth Attarian says:

African wildlife is the continent’s greatest treasure. There is a nasty karma coming for those who kill for “sport.” At some point, these monsters will have to face their Creator and His Judgment. Time to END this barbarism. shut down “game ranches”, execute poachers, and those who try to own these “trophies”.

  5. Sandra Weber says:

This bull crap that trophy hunting helps conservation efforts is just another ploy by trophy hunters to continue their evil lust to kill animals. Hope people are smart enough to not fall for this malarky!

  6. Susan Rodriguez says:

I just don’t understand how anyone can kill these beautiful, majestic animals. It is sickening especially when so many animals are struggling to survive. Please put an end to this practice. People would pay a lot of money to see and photograph them. Can’t you consider something like that instead.

So true!! It’s unbelievable, makes no sense & horrible & very sad.
      They’re such beautiful majestic animals

Ms. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania

You are not seeing beyond your nose. Is extinction of your beautiful lions your end goal?!?!?!?!??! Your precious lions should be protected.. not shot down by these psychos hunters that you are allowing in your country!

SHOOT DOWN ALL THE HUNTERS…THEY ARE TRULY SOULLESS, HEARTLESS AND VOID OF COMPASSION!

IMMEDIATELY ban trophy hunting, increase efforts to protect lion habitats, strengthen anti-poaching measures, and promote alternative livelihoods for local communities NOW before it’s too late!!!!!

  8. Pamela Chattergoon says:

The people in Africa only care about the money coming in right now. They don’t care about what will happen in the future. They are too busy having baby’s they can’t feed and are starving to death as they are making new ones. They will never care what happens until the animals become extinct and they can no longer sell death certificates. POS country that these animals were born into.

  9. Melissa Fagan says:

Killing an animal for no reason is sociopathy!

  10. Elise Tooley says:

This is not “sport”…it is legalized murder of precious species! These sentient beings deserve to LIVE! They deserve to have families and homes and be protected from poachers and blood lust killers.

The day cannot come soon enough, ending this cruel, egotist trophy hunting. The solution for trophy hunters that want to kill? Let them kill each other if they want true sport or else just let them loose on the poachers…that works also. Stop putting blood profits before the welfare of your animals!

As another commenter mentioned – one of Africa’s greatest treasures is her wildlife and once these animals are gone, you will become a desolate devoid place that NO ONE will want to visit!

Maybe a little human population control thrown in for good measure isn’t a bad idea, either?

  11. There are approximately 20K lions left in the wilds of Africa. Trophy Hunting is just a fancy name for legalized murder. The leaders of the world need to take action to ensure these animals live without the threat of extinction. This starts with you Ms. Hassan. The fate of these lions is in your hands…

  12. Paula Long says:

Stop this senseless murdering of all wildlife!!

  13. There is a need for meaningful change as “hunters show no shame.”
FIGHT FOR THE ENDANGERED SPECIES ACT :
It is the only best revenge.

  14. Gary Droeger says:

I was just there on safari a few months ago. Tanzania does a good job protecting Lions in their parks. If they are allowing trophy hunters to kill them outside the parks it must stop.

  15. Julia Taylor says:

They’re trying to make out it’s being done for a good reason. Ye right.
Like the twats that fox hunt that say they do it because foxes are a nuisance to farmers. If that’s true then shoot them. Don’t put on your fancy red coats drink champagne and prance around the place. Fuckin blood thirst pricks the lot of them.

  16. Urszula Lund says:

This is an EXTREME ENVIRONMENTAL CRIME!!!!
This is BRAINLESS GREED. This is CRIMINALITY!!
This is SATANIC and EVIL ACT of BESTIALITY!
Governments and people in all countries should protest.

  17. Shirley Lemieux says:

To suggest that trophy hunting generates revenue are words that come from true Politicians. They think of only themselves and consider animals in the wild to be property of Government. In the eyes of Politicians, no animals deserve to live out their lives and raise families like humans do. Live and let live. Stop killing because that would make you a murderer.

  18. Charleen Murphy says:

So wrong! Disgusting! Terrible 😔 ☹️ such beautiful majestic, amazing animals!! People could look at them from far off

  19. Trophy hunters are the most vilest (sub)humans to exist. These cowardly brain dead fucking EGO MANIACS .. feel the need to hunt. How about this … put these assholes in a spot where they hunt other assholes who like to hunt. I dare say it won’t be as fun for these pricks when the thing they shoot at SHOOTS BACK.

  20. Wendy+Morrison says:

ALL STUPID HUNTERS WHO KILL ANY ANIMALS IN ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD NEEDS TO BE KILLED IMMEDIATELY!!! STOP KILLING ALL ANIMALS ALL OVER THE WORKD AND STOP ALL ANIMAL CRUELTY AND ABUSE EVERYWHERE IMMEDIATELY!!
