Stop Trophy Hunting of African Lions

Target: Ms. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania

Goal: Ban trophy hunting of African lions in Tanzania to protect the species and promote sustainable tourism.

The hunting of African lions in Tanzania has been a controversial issue for years. While proponents argue that trophy hunting generates revenue and supports conservation efforts, opponents argue that it is cruel and unsustainable, leading to the decline of lion populations and damaging the country’s reputation as a wildlife tourism destination.

It is essential that immediate action be taken to protect the African lion and promote sustainable tourism in Tanzania. This requires a ban on trophy hunting, as well as increased efforts to protect lion habitats, strengthen anti-poaching measures, and promote alternative livelihoods for local communities.

By banning trophy hunting and promoting sustainable tourism, we can protect the African lion and ensure the long-term wellbeing of Tanzania’s people and economy. We strongly urge President Hassan to take immediate action and support this critical initiative.

Through the banning of trophy hunting, protection of lion habitats, and promotion of sustainable tourism, we can protect the African lion and promote the sustainable development of Tanzania. Urge President Hassan to take action and support these efforts.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear President Hassan,

I am writing to urge you to ban the trophy hunting of African lions in Tanzania to protect the species and promote sustainable tourism. Trophy hunting has long been a controversial issue, with opponents arguing that it is unsustainable and harmful to wildlife populations and the country’s reputation as a wildlife tourism destination.

To address this issue, we need to ban trophy hunting, increase efforts to protect lion habitats, strengthen anti-poaching measures, and promote alternative livelihoods for local communities.

We urge the government to implement stricter enforcement of existing wildlife protection laws and regulations, as well as to impose severe penalties on those who engage in the illegal killing of lions.

We strongly urge you, Ms. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania, to take immediate action and support efforts to end the hunting of African lions in Tanzania.

Thank you for your attention to this critical issue.

Sincerely,

Trophy hunters are nothing but cowardly murderers of innocent animals. If they want sport, hunt each other!! Leave the animals alone.

  2. Put trophy hunters’ heads on the walls instead!

  3. The only good trophy hunter is a dead one.

  4. Stephanie Geyser says:

“Sport” is when competitors compete ON EQUAL TERMS. A hunter with a high-powered rifle with telescopic sights, sitting on the top of a speedy vehicle is NOT on an equal footing with an animal that can only try to run away on its legs. Slaughtering wild animals is NOT “sport” – it’s genocide.

And when Tanzania has sold all the wildlife to hunters (for short-sighted short-term money) and all the animals are gone, no tourists (or hunters) will come to Tanzania. So what will you have left in your country to earn money? Millions of poverty-stricken humans. So will you then encourage wealthy hunters to come and hunt them instead?

You are so right. There country will suffer for it
This iS so barbaric and is a slaughter it is horrific that they cut the heads off and then hang them on the wall. When are they going to stop allowing theses animals to be brought into the country.
It is absolutely sickening those poor animals don’t stand a chance that is no HUNT it’s murder

    COWARDLY MURDERERS OF INNOCENT ANIMALS.

KARMA WILL REPAY THEM ALL, FOR SURE.

YOU ARE A TOTAL SHAMEFUL DISGRACE ALLOWING THIS TO HAPPEN, SHAME ON ALL OF YOU PATHETIC MORONS.

  6. Michelle Stewart says:
