Goal: Praise suspension of license for vet who allegedly shot a feral cat through the head with a bow and arrow and bragged about it on social media.
Kristen Lindsey, a veterinarian who caused an international uproar after allegedly killing a feral cat with a bow and arrow, will be unable to practice veterinary medicine for a year. She started a scandal after posting a photo of herself holding a dead cat, shot through the head with an arrow. The caption said “The only good feral tomcat is one with an arrow through its head.” Thanks to massive backlash, including over 700 formal complaints, written comments from 77 countries, and more than 27,000 emails about her actions, and a ForceChange petition received by the veterinary licensing board, she will finally face consequences for her alleged actions.
Immediately following the incident, she was fired from her job at a Texas veterinary clinic. This most recent ruling dictates that not only will she be unable to practice veterinary medicine for one year, Lindsey will also be placed on probation for four years afterward. During this time, she will be subject to extra scrutiny and surprise inspections by the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners. She will also be required to perform 100 hours of community service before her license is reinstated.
This type of barbaric cruelty cannot be tolerated from anyone, let alone a veterinary professional. By suspending Lindsey’s license, the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners is taking a tough stance against animal cruelty. Veterinarian Kristen Lindsey recently had her veterinary license suspended for one year for allegedly killing a feral cat with a bow and arrow. A post on her now-deleted Facebook page appeared to show her holding the corpse of a dead cat with an arrow through its head, coupled wit h the caption “The only good feral tomcat is one with an arrow through its head.”
This type of cruelty is absolutely unacceptable, especially from someone who works so closely with animals. By suspending her license, you are showing other veterinarians that animal cruelty is taken seriously by the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners. We, the undersigned, praise you for ensuring that this cruelty is properly dealt with.

Agreed. Only a permanent revocation of K L’s license is an acceptable ruling given that she demonstrates she ENJOYS killing, and savagely…bow and arrow AGAIN, bragging, and incredibly unrepentant, violating the oath to prevent animal suffering. ONE year suspension puts everybody at risk, animal owners unknowingly placing animals in a recreational cat-killer’s care in the future (though probation, scrutiny and surprise visits). When some people, and sociopaths, say they are sorry, they mean they are sorry they were caught…
“My first bow kill” she says (apparently using the defense of protecting property from a feral or rabid creature, KNOWN strategy for escaping animal cruelty charges in Texas) and trophy photo, arrow through skull…cat appearing still alive, and suffering, limbs not limp as in death… HUNTING references and hunting pics on FB – some kind of cognitive dissonance seems to transpose her love of hunting onto veterinarian practices.
And the cat, said to be shot through the eye (whilst looking up at her), now described as a family pet called Tiger…
YES, SHE SHOULD HAVE LOST HER LICENSE PERMANENTLY; SHE WILL HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE COURT OF PUBLIC OPINION THOUGH SO GOOD LUCK TO HER…..
