Justice for Cat Shot in Head with Bow and Arrow

tabbycat-Hisashi

Target: Travis J. Koehn, Austin County District Attorney

Goal: Prosecute woman who allegedly shot and killed cat with bow and arrow.

After allegedly posting a photo of herself holding a dead cat with an arrow through its head to her Facebook account last Spring, Texas veterinarian Kristen Lindsey was swiftly fired. Public outrage pushed for the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners to revoke Lindsey’s license. However, an investigation into the killing produced no criminal charges for Lindsey, and she has even reportedly appealed the revocation of her license. It’s clear Lindsey feels no remorse for her alleged actions and does not understand the severity of what she’s done.

The caption on the gruesome picture bragged how the “feral cat” was Lindsey’s “first bow kill.” Despite her apparent judgement the cat wasn’t owned and thus expendable, the cat is actually believed to have been a neighbor’s pet, named Tiger. The cat in the photo shows identical markings to Tiger, and his owners allegedly reported the cat disappeared and never returned. Regardless of whether the cat was owned or feral, it is illegal in all 50 states to intentionally kill a cat. There is no “open season” on feral cats and thus no excuse for slaughtering this animal.

The District Attorney also noted that no charges could be filed due to a lack of proof the incident occurred in Texas. However, the picture posted to social media is clearly incriminating. Furthermore, an affidavit reportedly voluntarily signed by Lindsey confirmed the shooting occurred on her property in the state of Texas. In light of this information there is more than enough evidence to prosecute Lindsey for criminal animal cruelty. Demand justice for Tiger and sign the petition below to encourage the Austin County District Attorney to reopen the case.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear District Attorney Koehn,

I find it appalling that no criminal charges have been filed against Kristen Lindsey, the woman who allegedly killed a cat and posted a photo of herself and the deceased animal to social media. The case was apparently dropped due to a lack of proof the incident occurred in Texas, and because the cat was supposedly feral and not owned.

This explanation is riddled with legal errors. Intentionally killing a cat, dog, or other domestic animal is illegal in all 50 states. Texas criminal animal cruelty law specifically forbids killing or seriously injuring “domesticated living creature(s) or any wild living creature previously captured.” I find it hard to believe the cat in question did not manage to fit that description.

Additionally, an affidavit reportedly voluntarily signed by Lindsey herself confirmed the shooting occurred on her property, which we know to be located in the state of Texas. In light of all this information, there is just no excuse not to file criminal animal cruelty charges against Lindsey.

Ignoring the heartless slaughter of this cat reinforces the dangerous idea that it’s ok to torment and kill animals for pleasure. We must not allow people, especially those who are supposed to care for our pets, harm animals with no consequence. Lindsey’s reported appeal of the revocation of her veterinary license clearly shows she does not understand the harm in her actions or feel remorse. Please stand up for animals and ensure Lindsey is prosecuted to the full extent of the law if guilty.

Sincerely,

Why do you cat-lickers lie so much and try to deceive everyone so often? Is that the only thing that you have in your life to get attention these days? What’s the matter? Isn’t licking your cat enough attention? I’ve successfully shot and buried hundreds of these piece-of-shîť vermin to stop them from gutting-alive and skinning-alive all the native wildlife. Legal in all 50 states under animal-depredation control laws. Just as the Sheriff who told me to shoot them all (collared or not, still legal).

It is perfectly legal to destroy these domesticated cat species everywhere on earth. You just have to kill them on your own land or have the written permission of the land-owner, and be certain that you shoot-to-kill — as just maiming a cat IS illegal and falls under animal-cruelty laws (all hunters know this). (Hint: If some ċůņť of a cat-licker is citing an example to try to prove that this is illegal, they are most likely citing a true animal-cruelty case. The easy way to tell the difference is that there are no vets nor vet-bills involved in any legal shoot-to-kill case, nor any other extenuating circumstances. They love to lie, manipulate and deceive the world and everyone around them at every turn in their lives.) The very same laws and principles that apply to humanely killing animals for hunting also applies to cats. They’re just another animal, they’re not some sacred cow. The only other thing that you have to be aware of are your local firearms ordinances. If you live on land that is zoned as “residential” then you can probably only use air-rifles. All other lands can use firearms. This is also precisely why it is legal for any animal-control officer, animal-shelter employee, or pest-control service to destroy any animal on their own premises or with the written-permission of the land-owner or cat-owner.

The very same laws and principles that apply to humanely killing animals for hunting also applies to cats. They’re just another animal, they’re not some sacred cow. The only other thing that you have to be aware of are your local firearms ordinances. If you live on land that is zoned as “residential” then you can probably only use air-rifles. All other lands can use firearms. This is also precisely why it is legal for any animal-control officer, animal-shelter employee, pest-control service, farmer, rancher, or anyone else to destroy any animal on their own premises or with the written-permission of the land-owner or animal-owner.

The law is that it is perfectly legal to destroy any animal (** see exemptions) on your property or with the written permission of the property owner; someone’s pet or not; that is threatening the health, well-being, and safety of your family, animals, or even the value or integrity of your property. Also perfectly legal in adherence with all environmental depredation-control laws (the most common reason all stray cats, collared or not, are LEGALLY shot to death). Also true even in most densely populated cities, firearms laws permitting, if not then 700-1200fps air-rifles with round-nosed vermin-pellets are commonly used. The newer air-rifles even come with a sound-suppressor design built right-in, being designed specifically for shooting vermin cats in urban areas, the demand is that great. **The only animals exempt from you taking immediate action, legally, are those listed on endangered or threatened species lists, regulated game-animals (hunting season only, except for designated “small game” on your own lands which is year-’round no-license in most areas), and any bird species under protection of MBTA (the Migratory Bird Treaty Act). Even then variances can be given should there be sufficient problem but this requires further study by authorities. Since cats are listed in the TOP 100 WORST invasive species of the world in the “Global Invasive Species Database” issg . org / database / species / ecology . asp?si=24&fr=1&sts=sss , this means they have no protection whatsoever from being shot on sight, they are not on any protected species list anywhere in the world. Quite the opposite as a matter of fact. And if your local government obeys all national and international invasive-species laws (as they should), then it is your civic and moral duty to destroy all stray cats whenever found away from supervised containment.

Just remember, the cat MUST die for it to be 100% legal. A DEAD CAT IS A LEGAL CAT. Even if you have to slit its throat afterward to be certain — no different than a bow-hunter that is given a full day to track down a deer and slit its throat (humane and legal exsanguination). That too is legal, not a good kill, but legal. So is beheading, the same method all chickens are killed humanely under the law. So too is a blunt-force trauma from a bolt to the head, the way you get all your McBurgers and Steakhouse steaks. Luckily, cat-lickers and their cats taught me to be an expert marksman, so I never had to resort to using anything other than a gun to finish off a cat. I never wasted even one bullet out of the hundreds that I had to shoot and bury. (Except for the one time on advice of others to use a precision head-shot, instead of the 1-bullet=1-dead-cat fatal chest-shots that I had been using for all the rest. It took 3 more precision point-blank shots to the head before it would die. (Which resulted in my having to hose-down the area to disperse all of that diseased-cat offal so that native wildlife wouldn’t track through it and spread it to kill even more wildlife. What a freakin’ mess that was! Cat-brains splattered all over the place.) I now suspect cats survive more by their reptilian brain-stems than any of their unused gray-matter above it. Not unlike cat-owners do. Apparently a cat’s brain is not one of their vital organs. Who knew?! I never repeated that experiment, because even a 1/3-cent on-closeout-sale .22 is worth more than any cat’s life will ever be worth.)

Take just this one example of many more from every state, from every nation. Even Alley-Cat-ALL-LIES tried to get this person convicted of a crime. That’s just how stupid and ignorant of property and animal laws even their own lawyers are.

In FACT, the shooter can sue the cat-caretakers for thousands of dollars in damages, as well as LEGALLY shooting their cats for them.

Even in the UK where they revere their vermin moggies as much as a sacred cow you can shoot them to death under all animal depredation-control laws.

“Persecution from land owners, especially those with game birds can also be an issue though the animals are often mistaken for feral cats which can legally be shot as a pest control method.”

Cats are listed as year-round, no closed-season.

dear TNR RESEARCHER.. you are a freak and a disgusting “human” being. the time you have spent justifying killing a beautiful animal God has created, is nauseating… and so are you. and before you start in about animals being killed for the supermarket.. I don’t eat meat. because animals and birds are not killed humanely, which you would know if you really cared about the research other than just your sick killing fetish. get some therapy or shoot yourself.

couldn’t of said it better Sandra thanks kind regards simone scholte

    • Lawren Rudley says:

Well said and the world would be better without this twisted evil scumbag

    • Amen Sandra! I couldn’t have said it better myself!! Although I would like to add that TNR researcher is obviously a psychopath and in need of being locked away from society before someone kills him for being such a depraved individual!!

  3. “TNR” researcher sounds exactly like a cat hater well known to animal activists…..he posts under several different “names”……He admits to killing hundreds of cats personally “on my land” as if that makes it ok…..
    ————————————————————–

Kristen Lindsey as a veterinarian is the LAST person one would think would have purposefully killed a neighbor’s pet cat….but she did it…..It happened in Texas and I’m NOT stereotyping the state, but it seems from the start of this, (she posted the photos and made the claims on her own Facebook page, there is no “alleged” about it!) the local sheriff took this as a VERY minor incident and didn’t even have her in for an interview for many weeks……

  4. Lawren Rudley says:

Anyone who could do this is heartless cruel and evil. They are the piece of shit vermin and the earth woul be a better place without them.

  5. The psychotic individual who posts ad nauseam makes everyone sooo tired. (Yawn.) We hope he gets mental help very soon. Can you imagine spending every waking hour chasing posts about stray/homeless/feral cats, then copying and pasting a rant that affords so many clues about the stability of the “author”? Not much of a life, is it? What a great petition!
