Ban Bangladesh Coal Mine and Save Precious Land

One of the world’s poorest countries, Bangladesh, is now facing the possibility of bulldozing thousands of acres of agricultural land in order to create one of the largest open-pit coal mines on the planet. This would displace 40,000 people, including thousands of indigenous people who have lived on the land for over 5,000 years. Hundreds of villages would be wiped out, and more would eventually die as canals would dry out from the mining. This coal mine must be stopped in order to protect thousands of people and acres of land.
