Target: G. Venkataraman, Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu Police, India
Goal: Prosecute those responsible for hiding crude bombs in fodder that killed two cows and severely injured six others.
Two cows were killed and six others injured after chewing crude country bombs concealed in fodder. Among the injured was a pregnant cow, and veterinary assessments found severe trauma to the animals’ jaws. A report from an animal care trust stated that the injuries were consistent with blast impact, causing mechanical and thermal damage, extensive tissue destruction, risk of necrosis and infection.
Police suspect the explosives may have been intended for wild boars that damage crops. If true, that does not reduce the horror of the outcome. Animals encountered hidden explosives in food and suffered catastrophic injuries. Officials also noted that similar incidents have happened before, making enforcement urgent.
Such devices placed in fodder or crop areas create a deadly trap for any animal that finds them. Cattle, wildlife, dogs and even people may be placed at risk when explosives are used in this manner. Authorities must trace the source of the devices, identify those responsible and pursue appropriate criminal action.
PETITION LETTER:
Dear DGP Venkataraman,
Two cows were killed and six others injured after chewing crude explosive devices hidden in fodder. One injured animal was pregnant, and veterinary findings described blast-related jaw trauma, tissue damage and a guarded prognosis.
This case demands urgent investigation. If explosives were planted to target wild boars, those responsible still created a danger that killed cattle and caused severe suffering. The possibility that similar incidents have occurred before makes strong action even more necessary.
We respectfully urge your office to ensure a full investigation and prosecution under all applicable laws if responsibility is established. Animals should not be forced to suffer shattered jaws and fatal wounds because explosive devices are hidden in food sources.
Sincerely,
[Your Name Here]
