Target: Kash Patel, Director of FBI
Goal: Do not approve applicants convicted of bestiality.
Bestiality – the act of sexual contact between humans and animals – is considered so egregious by the United States military that it is grounds for dishonorable discharge and prosecution. The Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture (PACT) Act likewise clearly classifies bestiality as an act of animal cruelty and a potential federal crime. The nation’s top law enforcement agency, the FBI, seemingly does not agree.
Following an unprecedented wave of terminations and resignations within the bureau’s ranks over the past couple of years, recruiters have become desperate. They are so desperate, in fact, that they have relaxed restrictions on certain crimes that typically disqualify a person from becoming a federal agent. Among these crimes are prostitution, stealing…and bestiality. The latter used to be an automatic disqualifier — until FBI Director Kash Patel declared that if an individual was under 18 years of age when the crime occurred, then that individual might still find employment in the elite FBI. Animal cruelty conducted by minors is often a precursor to even worse behaviors during adulthood.
Sign the petition below to decry this unacceptable loophole in FBI recruitment.
PETITION LETTER:
Dear Director Patel,
You claimed you “did not want to punish victims of bestiality” during a recent Senate judiciary committee hearing. Perhaps you are confused, Director, because the victims of whom you speak are the animals cruelly used and abused for a human being’s sick pleasure. A shortfall in FBI recruitment is no excuse to relax and loosen the very laws – like the PACT Act – that the FBI is responsible for upholding and enforcing.
Animal cruelty is not a minor offense. It is one of the primary gateways to violent crimes committed against people. Repeal this perplexing amendment and reinforce the FBI’s once-distinguished reputation as America’s premier law enforcement agency that employees the best and brightest.
Sincerely,
