Actually, Asia is the cruelest continent, and India just one of the cruelest, filled with evil, wicked humans who delight in torturing and murdering innocent animals. These people call themselves humans, but in India they are just walking monsters. If it were my cow I would abandon the law which does NOTHING to protect animals, get a lot of people together and go after those who did this and do the same to them, cut them to pieces. Actually, not all of India is like that. I know someone who lives there and the animals are all looked after. People take care of the street dogs and there is much less abuse than in other areas. I would agree, though, that change is needed as there are so many homeless animals and abuse is over the top. Stereotyping doesn’t do anyone any good. I don’t know how to comment or respond to this brutal act of cruelty. How could any person(s) mutilate this animal and her baby so barbarically? This individual or persons seemed to have planned the entire incident. Did the owner have any enemies that may have wanted to stoop so low as to do this to his cow?
The government needs to act swiftly, install more suitable laws to deter people from acting on such cruelty. I read about it most every day in India. If you are outraged by this, then you should be vegan. B/c this happens all over the world. Factory farms are one of the worst. 90% of pigs are killed in gas chambers and it takes 20 minutes for them to die a painful and agonizing death – for bacon. Cows are hung by their back legs and have their throats slit to bleed out – for steak. And it’s not just how they are killed, it’s their existence before they are killed too. Pigs live in a cage covered in their own shit, not ever seeing the sun or sky till the day they are shipped away to die. Can you imagine only seeing the sun once, and that’s on the day you die? We have to change this, their waste is put back into the environment and it’s killing all of us. Do you own research, please choose compassion for all animals.

I agree, the only humane is vegan, all animal exploitation requires violence and suffering. I’d also add that in the US and UK, and other countries, too, it would seem, pregnant cows are legally slaughtered, their calves killed on the slaughterhouse floors. (Nobody does routine ultrasounds to determine pregnancy status of cows prior to them being transported to slaughterhouses.) And in the US alone, 20 million animals violently die during transport, and 4 million calves die yearly due to disease, malnourishment, weather, or because they’re male. All stats taken from the USDA.
