Goal: Prosecute individual allegedly responsible for neglecting and endangering over 30 cats in deplorable conditions.

A 74-year-old woman in Oakes, North Dakota, is facing serious charges after authorities reportedly found over 30 cats living in her residence under horrific conditions. When police responded to a call at her home, they were allegedly met with a strong smell of cat feces, unsanitary environments, and both live and deceased cats scattered throughout the property. Many of the surviving cats were reportedly in poor health and lacked necessary vaccinations.

Upon executing a search warrant, officers allegedly discovered large piles of cat feces, urine-soaked furniture, and indications of human waste due to a non-functioning toilet. Several deceased cats were reportedly found inside the home, highlighting the severity of the neglect. The conditions were deemed unfit for the animals and posed significant health risks.

Such apparent neglect and disregard for animal welfare cannot be overlooked. Legal action is imperative to hold those allegedly responsible accountable for their actions. By prosecuting this case to the fullest extent of the law, authorities can send a clear message that animal neglect and abuse will not be tolerated. Take decisive action to seek justice for these innocent animals.
