Being a deputy does not mean you do not have to obey laws yourself and it definitely does not give you the right to deliberately abuse an animal, especially when it is a K9. He should be removed from the force and banned from animal contact for life – he should also go to jail, he’s a loser.

This was an assault on a fellow officer. K9s in the field are valuable (they may cost the force thousands of dollars to breed and train) and they do horribly dangerous jobs. They are also innocent and made to do these jobs without their permission.
