Goal: Stop the killing of nearly 2,000 small animals.
After several people tested positive for COVID at a pet store in Hong Kong, the government announced they will be killing nearly 2,000 small animals to help prevent the spread of the virus. These animals could include hamsters and chinchillas. Several hamsters brought from the Netherlands to this pet shop reportedly tested positive, therefore infecting the employees. The city is also stopping the selling and import of hamsters and small animals.
Hong Kong authorities are not ruling out the possible transmission from animal to human of these COVID cases. Owners of hamsters that were bought after January 7th must quarantine as well as hand their hamsters over to be killed in a “humane way.” If the hamster was bought before this date, the owners and animals will be tested and if their pets are positive they must quarantine. Hong Kong’s Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals voiced their concerns and urged the government to possibly change their approach.
Call on Hong Kong’s leaders to stop this unnecessary slaughter of innocent creatures.

The nearly 2,000 small animals who are slated to be put to death after pet store patrons tested positive for COVID do not deserve to be killed. Please review this approach and come up with a different less cruel way to handle this situation. Taking away people’s pets that they have already grown to love is extremely disheartening. The animals and pet owners do not deserve that. If the pet owner and pet do a mandatory quarantine together and get tested after the animals can possibly be saved. Listen to the Hong Kong Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, they are urging you to take a different approach that will in the end keep the animals safe.

Yet again the vile CHINESE where this now global pandemic initially began due to their repulsive, savage , brutality towards animals in the first place..!! A nation that has the morals of a finger nail, they are sick, twisted and barbaric hence as to why we are all suffering due to their grose mistreatment of animals they sell on the streets in China whilst still very much alive. Cat’s, Dog’s, Bat’s, Snakes, Birds, Primates, Marinelife, are all sold for fodder even slaughtered within the market area filling the gutters full of blood from these terrified animals that have to watch and hear the screams, knowing they will be next…!! Now due to their disease, over 2000 innocent animals within a pet store another act of shear cruelty that must be stopped globally, are going to be killed due to workers within the pet store turning up positive with Coronavirus. How is it o.k to kill 2000 other animal species just to be on the so called safe side, yet we do not do this when it comes to humans? These animals should not be used for financial gains in the first place, plus to have a pet shop with that amount of animals is utterly irresponsible knowing this virus has spread from China initially. Close all shops,stalls, farms where animals are at risk.

Pets should NEVER be allowed to be kept, bought or sold in a Pet Store and we have been saying this for years…..

If CURE for CANCER in Humans (key word is Humans) has NOT been discovered after 40 YEARS of animal testing: repeated injecting of cancer cells into mice and hamsters, the cells proliferated cancer in these same animals – YET they finally WERE ABLE to discover a CURE for cancer for these same lab animals – WHAT does that tell you when the CURE for cancer in these lab mice and hamsters DOES NOT transmit to discovering a CURE of Cancer in HUMANS? The animal components at the cellular structure is NOT the SAME as Humans!! Scientists found ways to CURE cancer in Lab Animals – but the same CURE WILL NOT cure cancer in Humans – because Human cell structure is not the same as Animal cell structure. It actually takes far less effort to quarantine them then it does to murder them. Heck just get a few extra enclosures for that store and that is it! Heck just keep them the way they are and close the store. Animals do not die from covid anyway and they will be immune and thus the covid will be gone from them.
