Goal: Give prison sentence to woman who allegedly allowed her dogs to live among trash and waste.
Anna Sandhu Ray, who is apparently the ex-wife of Martin Luther King Jr’s assassin James Earl Ray, was arrested and charged with 44 incidents of animal cruelty and two dogs were allegedly found dead in her home. Authorities seized the remaining dogs from her property. She needs to spend time behind bars if it is found she is responsible for neglecting her pets to better ensure that more animals will not suffer under her care.
The dogs reportedly had fleas and parasites all over their bodies. They were allegedly found in cages filled with waste and living in heaps of trash. Ray was also arrested in 1996 when police reportedly found several animals inside another one of her residences, which was reported to be condemned as a result of being too unsanitary. The 44 dogs that were recently seized from Ray’s home were taken to get veterinary care. However, no reports have been made regarding their current state.
Sign this petition to demand Ray receive a lengthy prison sentence if she is found guilty of neglecting these innocent animals to hopefully keep other helpless creatures safe.

Dear District Attorney Pickens,
Forty-four dogs were allegedly suffering because their owner, Anna Sandhu Ray, allowed them to live in an unclean home. Additionally, a couple of dogs’ bodies were also reportedly removed from the property. It is important that Ray be given a lengthy prison sentence if she is found guilty so that she will not be able to abuse or neglect more animals.
According to authorities, the dogs were filled with parasites and fleas. Reports indicate that the animals were forced to live in their own feces and urine, and they were also said to be living among mountains of trash. In addition to this alleged episode, Ray was arrested in 1996 on other animal cruelty charges. Although the dogs that authorities took custody of were immediately taken to get medical help, no updates have been made available on how they are currently doing.
For these reasons, I demand you seek the toughest legal sentence possible for Ray and that you further insist that she not be legally allowed to own animals in the future if she is found guilty of neglecting her dogs.

So get some perspective before you speak! Did she start out trying to do good like too many that get overwhelmed taking on to much, couple that with getting old.. really old! She needs to be punished and if not more importantly who else knew of the animals condition? They should be looked at for letting this go on so long. Things like this don’t happen over night. Where where the neighbors, the family, the church, the animal rights groups? Did any of them go around to offer help? Has this been reported before and no action taken, there are probably others who need to be barred from having any animals for life!

You know… for someone to have 44 dogs they probably love animals a great deal. They didn’t say she was hurting them or dog fighting or breeding. They don’t say how the dead dogs died or where they were found. Maybe she’s stupid and trash, but it sounds like she needs some mental help. She doesn’t need to be vilified like this. She’s probably in a great deal of emotional pain without her dogs, not that she should have all of them, but maybe she was rescuing them and the stay at her house was transitional. Once again, she should probably stop if that is the case because she obviously doesn’t have proper help or funding, but we don’t know what happened. We have not heard her side of the story. Also, I don’t care who her ex is. That’s just more sensationalistic nonsense. Don’t let the news destroy good people. Instead, demand the right mental help for them to be able to make their hearts shine and contribute their love in a healthy way.
Sounds like a mental illness to me, a little compassion wouldn’t hurt. No where did the article say she willfully hurt the dogs. She just can’t see past her disease.

I believe this is due to just plain laziness. If she can take care of and feed herself she has no reason to not be able to take care of and feed her animals.
IMMEDIATELY SEIZE AND REMOVE ALL ANIMALS from her property, PROSECUTE to the fullest extent of the law for multiple counts of egregious animal abuse, BAN her from ever purchasing, owning, caring for or working with ANY animals ever again and MAKE HER PAY ALL VET BILLS to restore the surviving animals to full health.

I don’t understand ‘if found guilty’. What sort of cretin would say she is not guilty. She lives there, the dogs live there, therefore she is responsible for their wellbeing. They were not being well so……guilty.
