Target: Joe Biden, President of the United States
Goal: Thank the Biden administration for giving protection to migratory birds.
The Trump-era was fraught with decisions that weakened the protection of many animals. In particular, migratory birds were threatened when laws protecting them were removed, and penalties for killing them were reduced. Petitions such as this one fought against this environmentally disastrous decision.
In another move forward, the Biden administration has reinstated laws that protect these precious members of our ecosystems. This decision honors an original treaty established in 1916 between Canada and the United States that was instated to protect birds that migrate across the borders.
Sign this petition to show the President of the United States that we support his decisions that protect the wildlife of all North America.

Dear Mr. President,
I am thankful that you are revoking poor decisions that were made by your predecessor. In particular, that you have reinstated the 1916 treaty between Canada and the United States that protects migratory birds that travel between these two countries. Migratory birds are an integral part of the ecosystem of the entire continent, and saving them from humankind’s destructive ways is very important.

After Trump who killed animals, withdrew protections for everything, including us, it is wonderful to have a President who really cares. Thank you seems hardly enough to say how appreciative so many Americans are that you were elected. You are the savior at a time when our country needed so much assistance. You came into office with out one courtesy being extended to you. You spoke the truth. Then you got to work. You saved America from Covid. You helped the people who were seriously hurting financially. Now you are going forward to repair the infrastructure including our cyber infrastructure. I am grateful you are building back America and building it back better! I am extremely grateful.
Thank you Mr. President and all who reinstated protection to migrating birds. A world without the beauty and songs of birds would be a lonely place to live.
