Wild Rooster Allegedly Dragged and Thrown During Capture: Demand Prosecution

Target: Desmond Lee, Minister for National Development, Singapore

Goal: Pursue penalties against pest control personnel accused of mistreating wildlife during an inhumane capture operation.

A disturbing wildlife cruelty investigation intensified after viral footage reportedly showed contracted pest-control personnel roughly handling a wild rooster during a public capture operation in Singapore. The incident reportedly occurred inside a residential estate where workers were filmed pursuing and restraining the frightened bird.

Video footage seemingly showed the rooster being pulled by its feathers, thrown onto pavement, and crammed into the rear of a transport van rather than being handled through humane wildlife-control procedures. The footage sparked widespread outrage among residents and animal welfare organizations concerned about unnecessary suffering inflicted upon urban wildlife.

The Animal Concerns Research and Education Society filed a formal complaint with the National Parks Board while authorities launched an inquiry into the pest-control company’s handling methods and training procedures. Under Singapore law, individuals found guilty of causing unnecessary suffering to animals may face significant criminal penalties. Animal welfare advocates argue that wildlife management operations must prioritize humane treatment because rough handling can cause severe pain, broken bones, respiratory distress, and psychological trauma.

No prosecution or formal court action has yet occurred while authorities continue reviewing the incident and identifying the individuals involved. If substantiated, these allegations would represent severe mistreatment inflicted upon a defenseless wild animal during a reportedly controlled public operation.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Minister Lee,

Authorities have registered allegations involving a wild rooster dragged by its feathers, thrown onto pavement, and roughly confined during a pest-control operation.

Animal welfare groups submitted video evidence while investigators continue examining whether unnecessary suffering may have been inflicted upon the bird. If proven, the alleged conduct would represent cruel and inhumane treatment of wildlife.

We urge your office to pursue meaningful penalties and strengthen oversight requirements for any contractors involved in this alleged wildlife abuse case.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]
