According to reports, the children were surrounded by filth, with insect infestations, bug bites, and human and animal feces on the floors.
Upon entering the home, officers say they were met with a stench that indicated neglect. They reportedly discovered a complete lack of basic necessities, including a working toilet, shower, or access to food. The young children reportedly appeared dirty and in need of urgent care. These disturbing observations were matched by the conditions in which animals were allegedly found.
