Save the Magnificent Imperial Eagle From Extinction

Target: Mr. Pedro Sánchez, Prime Minister of Spain

Goal: Advocate for the conservation of the Imperial eagle and its habitat in Spain.

The Imperial eagle (Aquila adalberti) is a majestic bird of prey and a symbol of Spain’s natural heritage. However, the population of Imperial eagles has been steadily declining, primarily due to habitat loss, human disturbance, and the use of pesticides. These factors pose a severe threat to the survival of this iconic species.

The Imperial eagle plays a crucial role in maintaining the ecological balance by controlling the populations of its prey species. Its decline not only impacts the biodiversity of Spain but also disrupts the intricate web of interactions within ecosystems.

To ensure the survival of the Imperial eagle and protect its habitat, it is crucial to undertake comprehensive conservation efforts. This includes preserving and restoring its natural habitats, implementing measures to mitigate human disturbances, and promoting sustainable land use practices that minimize the use of harmful pesticides.

We have a responsibility to safeguard the Imperial eagle and its habitat for future generations. The conservation of this species is not only important from an ecological standpoint but also for preserving our cultural heritage and national identity.

Thus, we call upon Mr. Pedro Sánchez, the Prime Minister of Spain, to take a leading role in advocating for the conservation of the Imperial eagle and its habitat. We urge him to prioritize this issue, allocate adequate resources for conservation programs, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders, including conservation organizations, scientists, and local communities, to ensure the long-term survival of this magnificent bird.

By championing the conservation of the Imperial eagle, officials will demonstrate Spain’s commitment to environmental sustainability, biodiversity conservation, and the protection of our natural heritage. Help preserve the Imperial eagle and secure a thriving future for the species.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Mr. Pedro Sánchez,

We are writing to urge you to advocate for the conservation of the Imperial eagle and its habitat in Spain.

The Imperial eagle, a symbol of Spain’s natural heritage, is facing a severe decline in population due to habitat loss, human disturbance, and the use of pesticides. This poses a significant threat to the survival of this iconic species and disrupts the ecological balance it maintains.

We implore you to take a leading role in promoting the conservation of the Imperial eagle. This can be achieved through preserving and restoring its habitats, implementing measures to mitigate human disturbances, and promoting sustainable land use practices that minimize the use of harmful pesticides.

The conservation of the Imperial eagle is not only essential from an ecological perspective but also for the preservation of our cultural heritage and national identity. As the Prime Minister of Spain, your support and advocacy for this cause will have a profound impact on the long-term survival of this magnificent bird.

We urge you to prioritize this issue, allocate adequate resources for conservation programs, and foster collaboration among relevant stakeholders to ensure the successful conservation of the Imperial eagle and its habitat.

By championing the conservation of the Imperial eagle, you will exemplify Spain’s commitment to environmental sustainability, biodiversity conservation, and the protection of our natural heritage. Let us join forces to preserve the Imperial eagle and secure a thriving future for both the species and our beloved country.

Sincerely,

Spain save any animals? Really? You think they’ll do anything to help save any innocent animals? Look at how they treat their poor, innocent bulls! I’m not a fan of Spain at all (can you tell?) and don’t think they’ll do anything to help these beautiful, awesome eagles.

    • Nancy Hunter says:

You are so right! I have a neighbor who is from Spain and their bulls are not the only species who suffer at their hands. They have a dreadful mindset when it comes to the humanity of our fellow creatures.

      • Dolores Proubasta says:

Spain has an atrocious animal record — I was born there; I know. Bullfights and other “fiestas” that abuse animals, the brutal exploitation of Galgo and Podenco Dogs, the overconsumption of intelligent Pigs (there are more Pigs in Spain than Spaniards) … it’s a long list that discredits the country and its people. The latter, however, are split (like most anywhere else) into barbarians without empathy, and people who condemn the others and try their best to right the wrongs committed against our fellow beings. Be assured that some of the most vehement opponents of bullfighting are born and raised in Spain … like me.

        • I agree with Dolores, I am another Spanish animal rights activist ashamed, every single day, of the country’s “tradition” of animal abuse. There’s a lot of us, but needs to be more.

    • Gilda Provenzano says:

You are so right. I think Spain is 5th in shitty laws and not caring about any animals.

    • Marilyn Morgan says:

I totally agree but I signed this petition anyway.

  2. Well the comments before mine say all I was going to say. Asking Spain to help animals is like banging you head against a brick wall, and yes I know there are good caring people there but not enough and certainly not in positions to help. I will sign this and pray.

  3. These beautiful, poor eagles, and ALL animals in Spain, need vigilant protectors.I pray that many will step up to counter these others, who have no regard for animals. They must be given the proper, loving care they all deserve!!!!!

  4. Maria Lavorato says:

So many adjectives come to mind to describe Spain’s treatment of animals. Beyond all comprehension! They are not at all becoming and would not want that said of my country of birth!!!

Will you Pedro Sánchez, Prime Minister please do whatever it takes to turn it around. Dolores’s (born in Spain) comments above seem to give a little bit of HOPE!
Please stop the inhumanity NOW. Save the IMPERIAL EAGLE from extinction before they are all gone! It is known that the Eagle stands for bravery, courage, honour, pride, determination, and grace….SO WHY WOULD ANYONE DESTROY THAT AND ALL IT STANDS FOR!

Habitat loss, human disturbance, and the use of pesticides ALL NEED TO STOP IMMEDIATELY!!

Thank you Dolores for all YOUR insights.

This petition brings up many good points about protecting this Eagle species and I support it.

  6. Urszula Lund says:

If you don’t do everything in your power to protect this magnificent and unique IMPERIAL EAGLE then you commit an EXTREME ENVIRONMENTAL CRIME!!!

If you don’t do your best to protect this unique IMPERIAL EAGLE then you commit an EXTREME ENVIRONMENTAL CRIME! Animal Lives Matter!

  8. Pamela Plambeck says:

    Prime Minister Sanchez,
Please exert your authority to defend the Imperial Eagle and their habitats from increasing human interference and pesticide use. Spain’s ecosystem deserve your attention and protection.
