Target: Anthony Bellotti, President and Founder of the White Coat Waste Project
Goal: Praise and support the lawsuit against the USDA for testing on kittens.
The United States Department of Agriculture has been sued by animal welfare activists for causing the deaths of at least 100 kittens per year through their cruel experiments. The USDA had been feeding these kittens food laced with a parasite found in raw meat to develop a vaccine for humans; the kittens were bred specifically for these inhumane tests, infected, and put down with nobody even thinking to treat the infections with antibiotics.
Hundreds of innocent kittens are born for the purpose of dying, according to the advocacy group filing the lawsuit. Worse, taxpayer dollars have been unknowingly funding these horrible experiments. While vaccines against parasites are a noble goal, they are not worth the lives of innocent animals. Petitions such as this one have circulated, demanding a stop to the experiments. The White Coat Waste Project is finally taking action against the USDA, demanding they tell the truth about the 3,000 total cat deaths since the beginning of the experiments in 1982.
This lawsuit is only the first step towards ending this horror, but hopefully it will lead to the end of this inhumane practice. Sign this petition to thank the WCWP for filing this suit, and to support them in their endeavor to prevent future cat deaths.
PETITION LETTER:
Dear President Bellotti,
Thank you for filing a lawsuit against the USDA for their thoughtless murder of 3,000 cats. The department has been breeding kittens solely to use as test subjects for bacteria in order to create a vaccine, infecting them and later putting them down without bothering to treat their infections. For years, our tax dollars have been secretly funding these horrible experiments.
Your lawsuit is the first and most important step in the fight to end this horrific treatment of innocent animals. Animals are not disposable tools to be used for the sake of improving human lives. They are innocent living creatures who deserve to be protected and to have their own lives improved as well. We hope that the lawsuit proves successful in stopping the experiments and preventing the future deaths of more cats and kittens.
Sincerely,
