Four cats were allegedly found dead inside a foreclosed home after a concerned neighbor alerted authorities to distressed animals visible through the windows. Authorities subsequently issued warrants for Meghan Williams, 42, and Robert Gerhold, 59, on 14 counts of animal cruelty.
Williams and Gerhold allegedly left the area before authorities secured the property and reportedly remain wanted. Their alleged responsibility for the animals’ suffering must be determined through evidence and the judicial process. Investigators should continue pursuing credible information about their whereabouts while preserving veterinary records and evidence recovered from the home.
