3 Nesting Ducks Allegedly Beaten to Death: Demand Justice

Target: Amanda Pearson, Chief Superintendent, Dorset, England

Goal: Pursue all lawful penalties in case of nesting waterfowl found beaten to death and nests and eggs deliberately destroyed.

Authorities opened a criminal wildlife investigation after rescue volunteers discovered dead and injured nesting birds along a popular riverside route. Responding personnel documented damage affecting both adult waterfowl and active nesting areas.

Three nesting ducks were found dead with injuries authorities considered consistent with blunt-force trauma. Several nearby nests had been disturbed and eggs were found destroyed. Police also began reviewing surveillance recordings and gathering witness information after reports that a group of youths had been seen leaving the area around the relevant time. No suspects have been identified and no criminal charges have been filed.

Nesting birds are especially vulnerable during breeding periods and unlawful interference may affect both individual animals and future generations. Thorough investigation and appropriate enforcement remain essential.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Chief Superintendent Pearson,

Authorities responded after volunteers discovered multiple dead ducks and evidence of damage to active nesting areas. Investigators found that injuries observed on the birds may be consistent with intentional physical force and that surveillance review may assist in identifying those responsible. Community patrol efforts reflect ongoing concern while the investigation continues.

Please ensure that this matter receives a complete and careful investigation. If investigators determine that animals endured preventable suffering or that nesting sites were unlawfully disturbed, appropriate accountability should follow under applicable law.

Sincerely,
