Facilities like the Aulani Resort in Hawaii and Hawks Cay Resort in Florida have announced they will no longer offer such encounters after facing scrutiny for promoting practices that compromise dolphin welfare. Reports of tearing dolphins from their families and forcing them to breed solely for profit illustrate a disheartening reality in the marine entertainment industry. Such practices highlight an urgent need for regulatory enforcement to prevent cruelty, as they fundamentally undermine the dignity and natural existence of these intelligent creatures.
All facilities still offering swim-with-dolphin attraction must put an end to this practice. The demand is clear: hold institutions accountable for their actions against these magnificent animals.
