A community dog named Rocky reportedly died after a deeply disturbing enforcement operation. A viral video seemingly shows personnel cornering Rocky in front of his distressed owner. Individuals involved in the operation allegedly bound the dog tightly around the neck with coarse ropes and dragged him aggressively across the asphalt.
Rocky subsequently apparently suffered fatal internal trauma. His carcass was transferred to the Selangor Department of Veterinary Services for examination, and a formal investigation followed. Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin publicly condemned the incident and called for a major review of the Animal Welfare Act 2015. Despite the public outrage, no administrative suspensions or criminal charges have reportedly been filed against the personnel apparently involved.
