All said seems valid. Yet, elephants and human conflicts occur almost daily. India is not a country interested in their wildlife or animals. So this “who done it” approach seems rather odd. In cases such as this it is usually a cover up type of thing. What ever the cause I hope it is found and can be corrected. The Asian elephant is in dire trouble and is on the verge of going extinct. Let’s hope that is not the case and some of the problems between elephants and humans will settle without conflict. However, if there are poachers involved, shoot them on sight.
Poachers killed the female and probably stole her calf. Wildlife SOS is a great rescue in India including Animal aid and PETA India. Contrary what others may think of India they care very much for their wildlife.
