Seek Justice for Dog Apparently Beaten and Hung on Tree

Target: Bryce Graham, District Attorney of Colbert County, Alabama

Goal: Ensure the harshest possible penalties for the alleged dog abuser.

In the quiet of Colbert County, a harrowing scene unfolded, captured in a video that sent shockwaves through the community. It reportedly shows a man, Garret Larkin, engaging in unspeakable acts of cruelty against a defenseless dog. Witnesses allege seeing him beat the animal with a leather strap, then hang it from a tree to continue the assault. Such barbarity shakes the soul, demanding not just attention but immediate action.

Neighbors, acting on the dog’s apparent distress, alerted authorities, leading to Larkin’s arrest. Despite the gravity of these allegations, he was released on a mere $750 bond. This leniency starkly contrasts the severity of the alleged act, igniting outrage and a plea for justice. The dog, fortunately still alive, remains with an associate of the accused, casting shadows of concern over its wellbeing.

The outcry for justice grows louder. Such acts of cruelty betray a disturbing disregard for life and must not be lightly punished. Demand a strong stand against animal cruelty, ensuring anyone found guilty of such heinous acts faces consequences commensurate with their alleged actions.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear DA Bryce Graham,

A heart-wrenching incident has come to light in your jurisdiction, one that challenges the moral compass of our society. Allegations against Garret Larkin, involving the brutal beating of a dog, paint a picture of cruelty that is hard to comprehend. The purported evidence, a video capturing the alleged abuse, has sparked widespread condemnation and calls for justice.

This case is not merely about punishing an individual but about reaffirming our societal values. The leniency shown thus far, with a nominal bond allowing the accused’s release, seems discordant with the severity of the allegations. We urge you to consider the disturbing details of this case, the alleged repeated beatings, and the unimaginable fear and pain suffered by the animal. It is imperative that our legal system responds with the full force of its capacity to uphold justice.

Thus, we stand together, advocating for the maximum legal penalties for such acts of alleged cruelty. Our collective conscience will not tolerate indifference. Let this case serve as a precedent, deterring future acts of violence against animals. We implore you to pursue this case with the seriousness it undoubtedly warrants.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

I agree with Becky Beck, spot on! This is a clear case of the county police department being CORRUPT, because that is the only explanation for the ridiculously lenient action taken as well as actually LEAVING THAT POOR DOG WITH THE FRIEND OF THE THUG WHO TORTURED IT! That evil man must know someone in the local police department. The corruption must be discovered and severe action taken to fire the corrupt officers AND the LAW must be properly followed and that nasty thug who beat the dog must be prosecuted to the fullest extent. The dog must be taken away from the evil owner and his ‘associate’ WITHOUT DELAY! It seems that many police departments in the USA are corrupt, what a terrible country.

    • How can this pathetic fine be enough -for God’s sake can’t someone who lives in this area go down to the court and have a demonstration outside loud and clear that this is not enough punishment to fit what this cowardly piece of rubbish did to that poor ldefenceless dog. I would also suggest some retribution by locals but I guess unlike this dickhead most people are law abiding! If it is on video the evidence is there.

  2. Please get someone over there to take the dog and then beat the crap out of this piece of shit

  3. This scumbag must be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and hopefully someone will beat the living shit out of him. Maybe this guy should be swinging from a tree and just before he dies, pour sulphuric acid down his throat. Let him suffer the samw abuse and cruelty he committed upon this innocent dog.

How terrible and heartbreaking! I am so touched and angry! I feel so sorry for That innocent and defenceless dog. Someone who really loves animals must take care of him. That cruel, criminal man must be charged and punished to the fullest extent of the law.

  5. That dog should have been taken away to a shelter. It went to someone he knows so he has a chance to further abuse this dog. The penalty did not fit the crime.

  6. Wendy Morrison says:

HANG THIS CRUEL ABUSIVE ASSHOLE GARRETT LARKIN UP WITH A STRONG CHOCKER CHAIN WHERE HE MOVES THAT COLLAR CHOCKS EVEN MORE!! HE NEEDS TO BE BEATEN WITH A LEATHER STRAP AS THAT INNOCENT DEFENSELESS DOG WAS. LEAVE HIS SORRY ASS HANGING!

  7. How has this cowardly piece of shit been given bail! He deserves no less than the same treatment he inflicted on an innocent dog – beat the piece of shit and then hang him from a tree. And for gods sake what idiot placed the dog with an asdociate of this animal abuser? Get this poor dog to safety if it isn’t already too late!

  8. Another judge with no heart, no empathy and no balls. When video is available it should be checked for tampering and if found to be real there should be waste of money on a trial so no weak minded judges are not involved.

  9. Another judge with no heart, no empathy and no balls. Videos should be checked for tampering and if there is none, no trial just the severest punishment. Then these weak minded judges would not be involved.

  10. Pamela Opdyke says:

Let the punishment fit the crime.

  11. Gilda Provenzano says:

    Released? How shocking.NOT!!

  12. This supports violence against the innocent!!! $750 means nothing to this demon. He needs to be off the streets in a prison cell.

  13. I volunteer to beat and hang the piece of shit

  14. And this is why we cannot put the brakes on animal abuse, law enforcement and judges turning a blind eye to the abuse, no matter how horrific and no matter how much proof you have. Corrupt, uncaring and irresponsible law agencies enable and encourage this type of abuse and to leave that poor animal with the abusers buddy? Good God, just hang the dog now instead of letting them torture him over and over again. Alabama trying to beat Texas for abuse? Sucks to be Alabama. This is sickening, no accountability for the abuser officials who didn’t care and likely never will.

  15. The best thing we can do is join an effective Animal Rights and Welfare Organisation. PeTA ….People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is the most effective and powerful campaigning organisation in the world . They frequently intervene in cases like this and offer rewards for information, lobby and demonstrate , what ever is required and appropriate . Please join and support them to act for the abused animals

Also could someone local , go to the local press and do all they can to get the dog to a shelter ?

  16. Why do people just watch this kind of thing happen? Step up and do something!

  17. Melinda Shaw says:

The Deep South is known for its lack of compassion for animals. The fact that the perp was out on bail for a pittance fee is proof. No one seems to care about the safety of the dog. Wow.

    Justice for the poor victim!

  18. He should be hung from a tree and beaten!!! This makes me sick.

  19. What is wrong with our society? This dog was tortured and this man pretty much got away with it scot free. He should never be able to own an animal ever again. This dog should be able to find a new home where the dog would be loved. This is all wrong and this is why our society is the way it is. This dog has no voice only ours. This is an idiot of a man that needs to pay for his actions.

  20. Wow, where to begin first whos the Einstein that thought it was a good idea to put this poor cruelly beaten down dog with this scumbags friend? Whoever made this absurd decision must be charged as well if this poor dog is harmed in any way! Who are these so called public officials that are supposed to be upholding the law? If animal cruelty laws are that weak we better make them so harsh nobody would dare to commit these disgusting sick twisted acts! Our representatives in all areas must make animal cruelty animal abuse laws so strict with high jail sentences stiff fines community service etc. that people will think twice before harming any animal they must have rights too! Throw the book at these pathetic weak lowlife pukes!
