Success: Agencies to Combat Climate Change

Target: Joseph Biden, President of the United States

Goal: Thank officials for requiring agencies consider climate change in their budget.

The 2023 Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) released ways on how agencies can combat climate change within their budget. The Biden-Harris Administration has endorsed actions be taken to reduce toxic gas emissions and reduce climate change. As mentioned in this ForceChange petition, excessive gas emissions pollute our environment and worsen climate change. With this new endorsement, agencies must now include climate change in their budget, as well as opt for renewable energy sources. The administration also expects agencies to consider environmental reports in their actions to reduce environmental harm.

Sign the petition below to thank officials for their assistance in halting the climate change crisis. This action provides agencies an outline for how to reduce environmental harm, and with the increased use of renewable energy and lack of greenhouse gas emissions, our world will be at a better place.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear President Biden,

We applaud you for endorsing actions that encourage environmental sustainability. The climate change crisis is based on hazardous gas emissions, and as the CEQ’s report mentioned, agencies should include climate change in their annual budget. These actions will reduce greenhouse gas emissions, dramatically reducing pollution. This change has the ability to go such a long way, and it’s imperative to thank officials for taking this step to save Earth. Please continue doing what you can to help our declining environment. We appreciate your attention to this message.

Sincerely,
