West Virginia is truly magnificent. When I was a child, many years ago, the biodiversity was incredible. I would play for hours catching butterflies, fireflies, even attempting to catch a bird by sprinkling salt on their tail. Never caught one. I visited Appalachia often. It is a shame that today a lot of the wonder I saw is gone. Pollution has taken a toll. Pesticides are killing everything and, in the end, everyone. Nature relies on wildlife, insects, birds, snakes, all things are part of the puzzle. If we do not wake up life, as we know it, will be ended. Beauty will be gone, toxins everywhere due to our lack of responsibility. We are the ones who made this happen. What excuse will we offer God?
