Stop the Slaughter of Elephants for Ivory

Target: William Ruto, President of Kenya

Goal: Advocate for stronger measures to protect African forest elephants from poaching in Kenya.

African forest elephants are one of the world’s most endangered species. These gentle giants are threatened by poaching, habitat loss, and human-wildlife conflict. However, the illegal poaching of these magnificent creatures is the biggest threat they face. The ivory trade is a multi-billion dollar industry that fuels organized crime, terrorism, and corruption. African forest elephants are particularly vulnerable to poaching because of their small size and elusive nature.

We must act right away to stop poaching in Kenya if we want to save these lovely creatures from extinction. To provide these magnificent animals the protection they deserve, we must enhance the current rules and regulations. We must also increase awareness among the local communities about the importance of conserving the forest elephants.

We can drastically reduce the number of elephants murdered for their ivory by strictly enforcing anti-poaching regulations. This will assist in preserving Kenya’s forests’ distinctive biodiversity and helping to safeguard African forest elephants. Compel immediate action.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear President Ruto,

I am writing to urge you to take immediate action to protect African forest elephants from poaching in Kenya. These gentle giants are one of the most endangered species in the world and are at risk of extinction due to illegal poaching.

The ivory trade is a multi-billion dollar industry that fuels organized crime, terrorism, and corruption. African forest elephants are particularly vulnerable to poaching because of their small size and elusive nature. Poachers kill these magnificent creatures for their ivory, which is then sold on the black market.

We need to strengthen existing laws and regulations to provide adequate protection to African forest elephants in Kenya. Additionally, we must increase awareness among the local communities about the importance of conserving these magnificent creatures. We urge you to take immediate action and provide the resources and tools needed to protect these majestic animals.

By strengthening anti-poaching laws, we can significantly reduce the number of elephants that are killed for their ivory. This will help to protect the African forest elephants and preserve the unique biodiversity of Kenya’s forests.

We urge you to take immediate action and support the conservation of African forest elephants in Kenya.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

  1. I don’t believe in shaming on social media platforms but if I knew anybody who had ivory and other parts and pieces of exotic animals I’m going to do it.

  2. Disgusting that people actually still buy ivory!

  3. William Turner says:

Anyone who deals in ivory should be killed. That would send a message round the world.

  4. Wendy+Morrison says:

STOP KILLING ALL ELEPHANTS FOR THEIR IVORY TUSKS IMMEDIATELY!!!!! STOP AL ANI ANIMAL CRUELTY AND ABUSE TOWARDS ELEPHANTS AND ALL OTHER ANIMALS IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!

  5. Uncommon Sensesc says:

There really needs to be monetary rewards for dead poachers. I don’t care about the excuse or the person, I’d just like to see them dead – maybe use them as food for buzzards. I’m okay with that too.

  6. I think if the poachers knew they would face life in prison, no matter the big or small part they played in poaching, it would discourage them form continuing. There are drones, dogs, rangers, and yet more and more elephants are being killed for their ivory?

Humanity may never get this right and the elephants will go extinct. WIth dim witted idiots poaching is their trade. However if poaching was shown to cause life in prison this would change! Pass such a law and enforce it. The poaching will diminish.

  7. Nadine Brundage says:

Think the African government can do better to protect animals from poachers . Poachers should be shot on sight or face serious prison time for killing these magnificent animals for a body part, evil, heartless and cruel.

  8. Why don’t these countries prosecute and imprison the poachers??? God mist be so disappointed in Humana that do this or allow it!! After they kill off the wildlife off what is next for them? Humans?

  9. Maria Lavorato says:

I agree with you Gilda. SHAME THEM ALL!

Poaching is a crime and so should the purchase of any animal parts. The punishment for both needs to be extremely severe and enforced by all countries!

Where are these animal parts going? There should be dedicated enforcement for these crimes! Drugs are prohibited at borders etc so to should animal parts!

  10. Shirley Lemieux says:

Why are Governments so slow to respond to this criminal activity? We have been hearing about poaching for Ivory for years. Why is this still happening? These crimes have a significant impact on wildlife. Stand up and be a leader and go after those who kill for animal body parts. These animals have every right to live just like human beings do.

  11. Claudia J Ferguson says:

Taking ivory is not only greedy with no well-founded reason, it’s also cruelty to those majestic, innocent animals! Let me go over there and collect all those guys’ dicks for some no proven purpose. Feel right to you guys??

  12. Urszula Lund says:

    STOP this EXTREME ENVIRONMENTAL CRIME!!!
Poachers are greedy and dehumanized criminals and should be shot on sight.
Death penalty for dealing in ivory.

  13. Jeanne Marie Cambouris says:

CAN THERE BE GREATER DEPRAVITY AND SOULESSNESS THAN ALLOWING THE SLAUGHTER OF ELEPHANTS FOR ANY REASON, MUCH LESS FOR THE MUTANTS WHO SEEK TO PROFIT FROM SUCH UNSPEAKABLE SUFFERING AND THE INCALCULABLE LOSS OF THIS ICONIC, INTELLIGENT AND MAGNIFICENT SPECIES!!

  14. Davide Alioto says:

if to date they have not stopped the market, it is clear that they have no interest in doing so, like human trafficking. Think about it, for money I always manage to get results

  15. Dr.+Dagmar+Görz-Lenzen says:

When I visited Kenia lots of years ago, helicpters with armed forces flew above the Tsavo national park and above us. They had order to shoot immediately when poachers were spotted…… They are murderers, ticking bombs! No mercy!°

  16. Michelle Stewart says:

Any poachers caught must be shot dead.
