Save Iconic Mountain Gorillas From Extinction

Target: President Paul Kagame, President of Rwanda

Goal: Protect the mountain gorilla, which is threatened by habitat loss and poaching.

The mountain gorilla is an iconic species that inhabits the mountainous regions of Rwanda, Uganda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Unfortunately, the mountain gorilla is threatened by habitat loss and poaching, which could lead to the extinction of this magnificent species.

To protect the mountain gorilla, we need to address the root causes of habitat loss and poaching. We also need to implement measures to reduce human-wildlife conflict, such as public education and outreach. Finally, we need to support scientific research and monitoring to better understand the needs of the mountain gorilla and its habitat.

Through habitat protection and management, human-wildlife conflict reduction, and scientific research and monitoring, we can protect the mountain gorilla and its habitat.

Sign below and demand President Kagame take action and support these efforts.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear President Kagame,

I am writing to urge you to advocate for the protection of the habitat of the mountain gorilla, which is threatened by habitat loss and poaching. The mountain gorilla is an iconic species that inhabits the mountainous regions of Rwanda, Uganda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, and without immediate action, it could become extinct in the near future.

To protect the habitat of the mountain gorilla, we need to address the root causes of habitat loss and poaching. We also need to implement measures to reduce human-wildlife conflict, such as public education and outreach. Finally, we need to support scientific research and monitoring to better understand the needs of the mountain gorilla and its habitat.

We urge you to take immediate action and support efforts to protect the mountain gorilla and its habitat. Thank you for your attention to this critical issue.

  3. Marina Alescekevich says:

Stop killing innocent animals peoples bastards

  4. The methods shown here are valid and strong. Poaching is robbing our entire earth for greed. Greed is a global problem. Poachers need to know there are laws which will put them away for life in prison. Poachers must know they will not be sparred from punishment. The second idea is to work with the communities to understand how to cope with animals and how to preserve habitat so animals will not come looking for both food and space. This earth is theirs as well as ours. I think they were here first.
    Thank you fir your attention.

Agree with comments above. THERE IS NO NEED FOR POACHING!
Gorillas or any animal does not belong to man! They have free will (like any human) and that should be respected. They also have every right to have a home on this planet.
If Habitat loss and poaching are the root causes, it is time to put in place stringent legal measures that are enforced to severely punish both! …before the animals are all lost!

The solutions discussed above should all be implemented sooner than later. The mountain gorilla is YOUR NEIGHBOUR RWANDA so treat him/her like one!!!!!!!

  6. Uncommon Sensesc says:

I believe all poachers should be killed – on the spot where they’re found. No charges, no jail time, no fines, just killed. I don’t care what excuses they try to use, there is no excuse valid enough to justify killing these majestic, innocent gorillas. I’m amazed that the president of a country, any country has to be told that he needs to protect the beautiful wildlife in his country. But, then again, this country does little to nothing about animal abuse. Law enforcement, prosecutors and judges only give what amounts to slaps on the wrists. This earth will be so much better when humans are gone.

    • Sheelagh Challenger says:

Me too! Governments are turning a blind eye to these poachers and hunters! When all our majestic creatures are wiped out, maybe Governments throughout the world will feel ashamed of themselves!!!

  7. Poaching exists because there’s a market (a demand) for some kind of commodity….eg. tusks, birds, plants, spiders, fur, children… whatever… where there’s demand, someone will supply. Don’t look at the poor desperate poacher (what does he know??)… look at the super rich, status obsessed , mentally sick ppl doing the demanding. Once we stop them, poaching will end. Not easy:(

    • Dawn Richardson says:

Really? Does anyone actually know if poachers are “poor and desperate”? I agree, though, that the greedy rich, who create demand, need to be the object of poaching.

  8. Shirley Lemieux says:

Why is it that a President of a Country can not prevent crimes like poaching? The Mountain Gorilla is a beautiful species that needs urgent intervention from Country Leaders.

  9. All animals deserve to be protected. Please protect these majestic gorillas!

  10. NICOLE DAVIS says:

There is ABSOLUTELY NO NEED WHATSOEVER FOR THIS MURDER OF THESE BEAUTIFUL ANIMALS AND YOU KNOW IT!!

What are you doing, this is a DISGUSTING, SHAMEFUL, DISGRACE??

STOP THIS NOW, there is NO JUSTIFICATION FOR IT AT ALL.

SHAME ON ALL OF YOU ALLOWING THIS MURDER TO HAPPEN.

YOUR KARMA IS ALWAYS SET IN STONE.

  11. Our world has to stop taking the habitat of wildlife away!! God created some of the most unique and beautiful wildlife and we are responsible for protecting them and saving their habitats!!!!!
