Mountain Lion Killed By Super Bowl Champion Deserves Justice

Target: Colorado General Assembly Speaker, Julie McCluskie
Goal: Make it illegal to slaughter mountain lions.

An NFL Super Bowl champion has stalked and slaughtered a mountain lion with a bow and arrow. Derek Wolfe, a defensive lineman who played for the Denver Broncos, took to social media to brag about the killing.

Wolfe has claimed, apparently without providing specific evidence, that the mountain lion had killed two dogs. It is unclear whether this is true, and if it is true, whether the dogs had been allowed to roam the neighborhood freely.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife, has apparently indicated that Wolfe’s actions were legal and sanctioned by the government.

Wolfe has bragged that the hunt was “exhausting,” noting that “We hiked straight up 2500ft and down the other side, then back up again, back down the other side and then back up again to 9600ft.”

Wolfe further described the hunt, writing that he was “Exhausted, dehydrated, [and] cramping [as] I drew back my [bow] and sent an [arrow] through him. Then I had to crawl backwards down the mountain with him to get him to the truck I fell 10ft off a rock face on the way down lol.”

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Speaker McCluskie,

A Super Bowl champion from your state has stalked and slaughtered a mountain lion with a bow and arrow. Derek Wolfe, a defensive lineman who played for the Denver Broncos, bragged on social media about the killing.

Wolfe has claimed that the mountain lion had killed two dogs. It is unclear whether this is true, and if it is true, whether the dogs had been allowed to roam the neighborhood freely.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife, has apparently indicated that Wolfe’s actions were legal and sanctioned by the government. They shouldn’t be.

Killing a wild animal simply because people are scared of it is cowardly, not heroic. These types of killings should not be permitted. The laws of Colorado that protect this type of horrific action must be changed.

Sincerely,
[Your Name Here]

  1. The behavior of these so called “hunters”, like Derek Wolfe, is beyond despicable. The fact that this is legal in Colorado is a sign of what’s wrong with our society. These cowardly and brutal actions towards a fellow sentient creature speak volumes about this group of people, including pos Derek Wolfe!

WHAT A BRAVE HUNTER – HE SHOULD BE SUBJECT TO THE SAME BRUTAL WAY OF DYING. DESPICABLE COWARD!

    • I found out where he lives. Yeah the creep bought the mansion on freshly destroyed wilderness. He is a creep through and through.

Anyone with a conscience can see this is serious animal abuse!

  7. Gloria Navan says:

His backup story is ridiculous…he just had to be the big, fearless hunter and murder something.

    • He is so brave going after a defenseless animal. Well, no worries. He will be injured and will not be able to move from the neck down.

The only good hunter is a dead hunter! Hunt the hunters!

  10. He likes to murder all kinds of defenseless animals. This was an flimsy excuse to murder a cougar. BTW, that lie about this cougar killing 2 dogs is a lie.

  11. Robin Abbott says:

The FBI has identified cruelty to animals as a sign of psychopathy, a red flag indicating a high risk for committing acts of violence that pose a danger to the entire community

The only good hunter is a dead hunter! Hunt the hunters! I will never understand the why for these killings

  13. I’m sure that this cougar didn’t kill dogs in spite. It killed them because they were easy targets. You just cannot put the blame on wild animals. They kill to eat not to infuriate. It is their instinct. This person hiked a long way to reach this cat (if it is even the right one) and fell ten feet down a rock face. Is this supposed to make us feel in awe of his so called accomplishment? Coyotes take dogs by me all the time. It is up to the owners to watch their animals.

    • Frank Staples says:

Yeah, and coyotes kill cats all the time…I watch my dog and cats and don’t let them out unsupervised but I also shoot every frigging coyote I see on my property. They have been known to attack children also.

So sad This football player needed ti hunt and kill this mountain lion. Guess he is one of the super macho Game hunters that like to Show off their kill! If his dogs were running free , the Hunter is responsible for keeping his pets safe. This act on the part of the Hunter was a barbaric act ! Yuck!

THIS PUNK SHOULD HEVE BEEN SHREDDED TO PIECES BY THIS MOINTAIN LION!
