Success: Police Force Commits to Preventing Abuse of Power

Target: Shahin Mehdizadeh, Lethbridge Chief of Police

Goal: Applaud the Lethbridge Police force for submitting an action plan that will address issues within the service.

Following serious allegations and the suspension of several officers for abuse of power and other issues, the Justice Minister of Alberta issued an ultimatum to the Lethbridge Police force. They had a few short weeks to address these serious issues within the force or face being disbanded.

Thanks to petitions such as this one, the Chief of Police in Lethbridge, Alberta has submitted an action plan to the government that addresses the issues at hand and outlines how the force will move forward to rebuild public confidence. On top of that, this action plan was submitted before the deadline, showing the dedication of the chief to correct any issues in the police force.

Sign this petition to applaud the efforts of the Lethbridge Police, and encourage them as they move forward.
