Success: Restrictive Anti-Abortion Law Struck Down

Target: Ilyse Hogue, President of NARAL Pro-Choice America

Goal: Applaud Pro-Choice America for working to protect women’s right to a safe abortion.

A restrictive anti-abortion law in Louisiana was recently struck down by a Supreme Court ruling. The law would have required doctors performing abortions to have admitting privileges at nearby hospitals, which would have greatly diminished women’s access to a safe abortion. More information about the nationwide fight to protect women’s rights can be found in this petition and this petition.

This restrictive law would have the left the entire state of Louisiana with just one abortion clinic, placing an undue burden on the constitutional right to an abortion. In addition, the law does nothing to protect women’s health, though its main argument is to protect women.

This is a huge victory for NARAL Pro-Choice of America, along with other groups and activists that have been fighting tirelessly to preserve women’s right to their bodies. Sign below to thank Pro-Choice America for their work safeguarding access to abortion in Louisiana.

  1. ABORTION IS MURDER!! HOW CAN ONE SUPPORT THIS IMMORAL ACT? EVERY LIFE IS WORTH LIVING AND THESE BABIES ARE HELPLESS TO DEFEND THEMSELVES FROM SUCH CRUEL ACTION. SIMPLY DISGUSTING. UNFORTUNATELY WE A LIVING IN A WORLD OF SELFISHNESS AND GREEDINESS.

Abortion is an atrocity, why is ForceChange hosting petitions to save innocent animals’ lives (which I sign), and then hosting petitions to increase the number of innocent unborn babies who will be brutally torn to pieces, while still alive, in their mothers’ wombs?
