A cat was mutilated and killed in a shocking case of animal cruelty. The cat was dismembered and the head, limbs, and ears were sent back to the owner in a bag. Demand justice for this poor cat.
“Rusty was a beloved pet and the family is understandably devastated,” stated PC Andrew Glover of the Northamptonshire Police Department. Rusty, a 1-year-old ginger cat, was taken from the area and the cat’s head, limbs, and ears were returned in a bag. Rusty’s mutilated body was left on the doorstep of the owner’s family home and discovered by the owner’s 14-year-old daughter. Rusty’s death comes just days after the owner’s other cat was found dead and burned. Police have not confirmed if these incidents are related.
The Northamptonshire police are investigating and they have asked for any witnesses to come forward. They do not yet have any suspects. Sign below and demand that the person responsible be charged and assigned the maximum penalty under law.

Not only is this an act of cruelty to a defenseless animal that deserves to be punished without mercy, it is an act of cowardice and hate towards the family. Two cats in a few weeks? That is beyond coincidence – surely this would be a sign to concentrate on who has some kind of vendetta against them. This has to be taken seriously by the authorities, else armed with the confidence that they have got away with this crime, this sadistic spawn of pure evil will move on – will children be next ? This is not a one off crime but probably just the beginning of who knows how many heinous acts this monster will commit against anyone that he considers he has a grudge against.
He needs to be caught and sent to prison where the inmates may consider administering their own kind of justice.
Keep your cats indoors-the police must find this disgusting and evil psycho who did this-poor Rusty and the other cat-I feel so sad for the cats and their family. There are such cruel people in the world and there is a special place in hell for them, they deserve to be severely punished and thrown in jail for a very long time and never allowed near an animal again

I agree 100%… This is a sick individual that needs to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law! This is not a prank; it’s a sign of a severely damaged individual! Anyone who is capable of doing this to an innocent animal, could do it to a young child too!
This is in the UK a country supposed to be a nation of animal lovers. This is a sad insight into what is happening in our country it is turning into a cess pit of evil this kind of sickness is growing daily , and just a long as the police & the law turns a blind eye dismissing this very serious kind of crime it will continue spreading from killing animals to children and the frail. Most murderers first victims are defenceless animal. When animal abuse is actually dealt with this a suitable way & real time & effort put into by catching & punishing severely these horrendous scumbags it will just keep happening & these low life sub humans laugh because they know they will never face any justice. I couldn’t agree more with the other comments here. It looks like there is likely some connection between these two terrible acts of cruelty against this family’s two cats, which happened within days of one another and that the police should be looking for someone who either hates the family’s cats or has some kind of vendetta against them. One’s heart goes out to these innocent and loveable cats, pure little souls who will have suffered undeserved terror and pain, and to the family to who loved them. As the founder of Feline Friends London, and someone whose life is devoted to helping and rehoming cats, I do not find cruelty to children, the elderly and the frail any worse than cruelty to animals. We are all sentient beings and harming one species is as bad as harming any other. Harming and killing vulnerable life is the worst possible thing a human can do. Like one of the other people who has left a comment here, I hope the evil perpetrator of these heinous acts of cruelty will go to prison and experience the kind of justice the inmates are likely to mete out to him/her. It’s a sad indictment of how little our criminal ‘justice’ system with its derisory six months’ or less sentences, often suspended, values the lives of animals, to note that prison inmates are the only ones who might see any kind of justice done for these crimes.

This is totally appalling! what must that poor family be going through – and it is really freadful that it was a young girl who found the body. If someone could do this to a cat, what could they be capable of doing to a human?

My daughters Ginger cat was drowned, beaten and dragged through mud and the culprit was found carrying the cat with her. The culprit was a 8 years old girl that made friends with my grand-daughter then took the cat when outside and did this pure evil torture to a really friendly part of my daughters family. The police were called and nothing happened. She was not aloud outside without being with someone but was mostly with her older brother who does exactly the same. Next thing we knew she was relocated elsewhere. She had been doing this and was always relocated to cover up what they were capable of. Pure sick evil little sh*t

This psychopath is a monster who will easily transition into killing and mutilating people. These cats are just practice for (probably him, because women don’t usually do such things). For the safety of the community, law enforcement must remove this monster from society!!!

Why is there even a petition for this, that sick monster should already be locked away. There is no excuse for anyone to do something so horrible. No animal deserves to die like this. Put that sick monster away for ever!
No one with any brains would believe for a second this was a coincidence. With a little effort the Authorities can find out who this shit POS is. I don’t have much faith in the Police in the U.K. going after a cat killer. After all – it’s “only a cat”.
I’d LOVE for the Police and Prosecutor for Northamptonshire to prove me wrong. But I won’t hold my breath. The U.K. is not noted for caring much about its cats. I have friends over there, and they are as appalled as I am.
They can send whoever did this over here, and I’d be happy to take care of their problems.
