Investigate Reported Trespassing and Flooding of Dormitory that Endangered Students

Target: Robert Warfel, Chief of Xavier University Police Department

Goal: Ensure a thorough investigation of the Xavier University dormitory flooding incident.

An individual was arrested for allegedly entering a freshman dorm building at Xavier University, hiding in a maintenance closet, and damaging a water pipe, resulting in significant flooding that affected nearly 12 rooms in the building. This incident has left students inconvenienced and shocked.

According to reports, it is believed that the woman gained access to the building either with the assistance of a student or by “tailgating” a group of people entering the building. Subsequently, when university police officers conducted a search for a woman matching her description, it is reported that she concealed herself in the maintenance closet, climbing onto exposed piping and ductwork approximately 6-8 feet above the floor to evade detection. However, during her attempt to descend, she allegedly broke the water pipe, leading to the flooding and her subsequent arrest.

This incident raises concerns about the security and safety of students residing in the dormitory. It is essential that a thorough investigation is conducted to determine how the individual gained unauthorized access to the building, whether there were security lapses, and if any students were involved in assisting her. Take action now.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Chief Warfel,

We, the undersigned, are writing to express our concern and seek justice regarding the recent incident at Xavier University, wherein an individual allegedly entered a freshman dorm building, caused extensive damage, and inconvenienced students.

The safety and well-being of students should always be a top priority, and any breach of security within a university campus is a matter of grave concern. We urge you, as the Chief of the Xavier University Police Department, to ensure a thorough and transparent investigation into this incident.

Specifically, we request that the investigation focus on determining whether there were any lapses in security protocols that allowed the alleged intruder to gain access to the building.

Investigate if any students were involved in assisting the individual in gaining access to the dormitory, and if so, take appropriate action. Assess and recommend preventive measures to ensure the security and safety of students residing on campus.

It is imperative that the findings of this investigation are made public to address any concerns within the university community. Moreover, if the allegations are substantiated, we urge you to take appropriate action to hold those responsible accountable.

Xavier University has a responsibility to provide a safe and secure environment for its students, and we trust that, under your leadership, a comprehensive investigation will be conducted, and any necessary steps will be taken to prevent such incidents in the future.

Sincerely,
