Deceased mogul Jeffrey Epstein was in jail for sex trafficking charges when he took his own life. Questions remain about Epstein’s alleged widespread sexual abuse of minors and the role other individuals may have played in these reported crimes. Signers of this ForceChange petition demanded prosecution for co-conspirators. Thanks to continued attention, a key figure in this disturbing case has been brought to justice.
Epstein’s girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell faced charges that she played a pivotal role in his reported grooming and abuse of young girls. These charges included sex trafficking a minor, illegally transporting a minor for criminal sexual activity, and conspiracy. A jury convicted Maxwell of five of six charges. As a result, she could be sentenced to over six decades in prison.
