Remains Exhumed After Animal Allegedly Beaten to Death: Demand Justice

Target: George Christian, District Attorney, Mountain Judicial Circuit, Clayton, Georgia

Goal: Pursue all lawful penalties if the evidence supports allegations that an animal was subjected to repeated physical abuse that resulted in its death.

Authorities launched a criminal investigation after receiving a report concerning the severe abuse of an animal. According to official statements, the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office worked with Rabun County Animal Control during a multi-week investigation before obtaining a search warrant for a residential property.

According to investigators, deputies uncovered physical evidence at the residence and exhumed buried animal remains for forensic examination. Authorities further alleged that the investigation established probable cause to arrest one individual on a felony aggravated animal cruelty charge. The recovered remains were transported to the University of Georgia Veterinary Diagnostics Laboratory, where specialists are conducting examinations to determine the precise cause and manner of death. The defendant has been booked into the county jail pending further court proceedings. No court has determined criminal liability, and no plea, conviction, or sentence has been entered.

These allegations remain unproven and must ultimately be resolved through the judicial process. However, if the evidence establishes that an animal endured repeated physical abuse resulting in death, meaningful accountability is warranted. Companion animals deserve protection from prolonged suffering, and thorough enforcement of Georgia’s animal cruelty laws is essential to deter abusive conduct and safeguard other vulnerable animals.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear District Attorney Christian,

Reports surrounding this investigation have generated significant concern among animal welfare advocates. Authorities reportedly executed a search warrant after investigating accusations of aggravated animal cruelty and recovered animal remains for forensic analysis.

According to official accounts, investigators alleged that the available evidence may demonstrate repeated physical abuse that resulted in the animal’s death. Those allegations remain subject to judicial review and should be evaluated through due process and a careful examination of all forensic findings.

Please ensure that this matter receives every available prosecutorial resource and that, if the evidence ultimately supports the allegations, all appropriate penalties are pursued. If investigators establish that this animal suffered prolonged abuse before its death, meaningful accountability should follow under Georgia law.

Sincerely,
