Puppy Allegedly Thrown and Kicked to Death: Demand Felony Prosecution

Target: Suzy Lopez, State Attorney, Thirteenth Judicial Circuit, Florida

Goal: Pursue maximum felony penalties against individual allegedly responsible for throwing and kicking a small puppy before the animal died from catastrophic injuries.

A horrifying animal cruelty investigation intensified after Hillsborough County authorities reviewed surveillance footage that reportedly shows a woman attacking a small stray puppy inside a mobile home park. Investigators allege that Imania Davis grabbed the terrified dog by the neck and threw the animal approximately ten feet onto an asphalt roadway.

Authorities further allege that when the injured puppy attempted to return toward Davis, the animal was kicked across the street. Deputies responded and transported the puppy to the county’s Pet Resource Center for emergency veterinary treatment. Medical staff diagnosed the animal with a severely fractured leg, internal bleeding and extensive trauma consistent with the reported attack.

Despite emergency surgery, the puppy reportedly died from the severity of the injuries. Prosecutors later upgraded the charges following the animal’s death. Animal welfare advocates argue that the reported attack demonstrates shocking violence against a vulnerable animal seeking safety. The criminal proceedings remain ongoing, and no prosecution or sentencing has yet occurred. If substantiated, these allegations would represent severe cruelty causing prolonged suffering and preventable death.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear State Attorney Lopez,

Authorities have made allegations involving a small puppy allegedly thrown onto asphalt and kicked before later dying from severe traumatic injuries. Investigators reviewed surveillance footage connected to the reported attack.

Law enforcement officials arrested one defendant and upgraded the criminal charges following the puppy’s reported death after emergency surgery. If proven, the alleged conduct would represent severe cruelty and prolonged suffering inflicted upon a defenseless animal.

We urge your office to pursue maximum felony penalties against any individuals found responsible for this alleged fatal abuse case.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]
