Target: Robert Busbee, District Attorney of the Ogeechee Judicial Circuit, Georgia
Goal: Seek penalties, restitution, and long-term animal-ownership bans for two suspects who reportedly kept more than 50 animals amid feces, overpowering ammonia, and apparent deprivation, with one dog found deceased.
Authorities executed a warrant at a residence and reportedly encountered a nightmare scene. More than 50 dogs and cats were allegedly living on floors soaked with urine and layered feces while an acrid ammonia reek burned in the air. Deputies and humane personnel described emaciation and visible injuries on some animals, and investigators reportedly discovered one dog dead inside.
Multiple animals were removed for emergency evaluation and care. According to statements from law enforcement, several of the seized animals showed signs consistent with prolonged neglect, including lack of adequate food, clean water, and safe shelter. Investigators characterized the overall conditions as deplorable, with some rooms unfit for any living creature.
When a case involves dozens of animals and a death, meaningful accountability becomes essential. Strong prosecution deters future cruelty, protects the community, and signals that mass neglect will not be minimized. This case reportedly involves widespread suffering, and those responsible should face penalties that reflect that harm. Accordingly, this petition urges vigorous prosecution, restitution for veterinary and shelter costs, mandatory counseling, and lengthy bans on possessing or residing with animals.
PETITION LETTER:
District Attorney Busbee,
Reports indicate that deputies and humane personnel removed more than 50 animals from a residence where dogs and cats were confined in rooms soaked with urine and feces, with an overpowering ammonia smell and a deceased dog reportedly found inside. Several animals seemingly presented with emaciation or injuries, consistent with prolonged deprivation of basic needs.
These details suggest severe, extended neglect affecting a large number of vulnerable animals. Given the reported scale and tragic loss of life, we ask your office to pursue the strongest appropriate charges and to seek sentencing terms that match the gravity of this case.
We respectfully urge you to request restitution for public and nonprofit agencies that provided medical care, to seek mandatory counseling and education, and to secure lengthy prohibitions on owning or residing with animals. Robust action here can prevent future suffering and reinforce that systemic cruelty and neglect will carry serious consequences.
Sincerely,
[Your Name Here]

“Widespread suffering, and those responsible should face penalties that reflect that harm”
…and at least one little dog died. Who are the perps? Name them!
“Lengthy bans”??????? NO….not okay. LIFETIME BAN
Punishment should match the longterm agony, distress, and misery that these animals endured through no fault of their own!
Keep pissing around judges & DA! Keep letting theses people torturing innocent animals! Do ur job & do what’s right for the animals!
Amen to that – they need to be punished to deter others.
Agree all comments,Do the same to them then hang these bastards not worth feeding , justice now.
Stop allowing these psychos to be out on the street to do the same to other poor little animals. Better yet get rid of them.
The two arseholes are named as Ken Berrin and Debra Green from Bulloch county. They were only discovered because the neighbours complained about he awful stench coming from this house of horrors. Imagine living next door to it.
This pair of filthy, disgusting scum bags need to be in jail. Hopefully they will be attacked every day when they are in there. Best to just eradicate these abominations.
