Dead Animals Reportedly Caged Among 22 Neglected Pets Demand Maximum Justice

Target: Duffie Stone, Solicitor of the 14th Judicial Circuit, Colleton County, South Carolina

Goal: Secure the toughest lawful penalties and a lifelong animal-ownership ban for the suspect who allegedly left animals to die in filthy cages beside 22 suffering companions.

A sickening stench reportedly greeted animal-control officers before they even entered the residence. Through a window they allegedly spotted four live dogs and numerous dead animals crammed into a room stacked with cages. Upon executing a warrant, investigators rescued 22 living animals from what they later called “deplorable” conditions.

Authorities say the homeowner had not been seen for days, and some of the surviving animals were reputedly strays who may in fact be missing family pets. Each creature allegedly endured extreme neglect—forced to breathe toxic air, stand among corpses, and suffer without food, water, or veterinary care. The suspect now faces at least 16 felony counts of animal cruelty in addition to other charges.

Allowing sentient beings to languish beside their deceased companions epitomizes cruelty. A decisive prosecution is essential to honor the victims, deter copy-cat offenses, and safeguard the community’s pets. The responsible individual must face maximum incarceration, fines, restitution for medical costs, and a permanent prohibition on possessing animals.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Solicitor Stone,

As reported by multiple law-enforcement agencies, officers allegedly discovered an odor so powerful it reached the driveway of a Cottageville property. Inside, they purportedly found cages holding four desperate dogs while numerous dead animals lay among them. A total of 22 live animals were purportedly extracted from the filth.

The accused caretaker has been booked on a multitude of felony animal-cruelty warrants—reportedly sixteen in all. These counts appear to reflect not isolated mistakes but an apparent pattern of disregard that subjected innocent creatures to prolonged agony and death. Some of the survivors were reputedly picked up as strays and could be beloved pets stolen from their families, compounding the trauma.

We respectfully urge your office to pursue the highest penalties allowable under South Carolina law, to seek restitution for veterinary and shelter expenses, and to request a lifetime ban on animal ownership. A firm stance will send a clear message that this community values life and will not tolerate such grievous cruelty.

Sincerely,

This is when you Prosecute to the Max this POS!
Take any property, land, house, car, and sell it to pay for medical care and supporting care.
She ‘collected’ these poor animals that died in agony… let her ‘collect’ the rewards. Years in prison and if she makes it out, because I don’t care if she does or doesn’t, she is NEVER allowed near another animal of any kind. Ever!
