Cats and Wild Animals Apparently Shot in Sadistic Killing Spree Deserve Justice

Target: Ifan Charles, Chief Constable of Dyfed-Powys Police

Goal: Ensure appropriate investigation and punishment for individuals allegedly involved in the shooting of cats and wildlife.

The Pembrokeshire community is in a state of distress as multiple reports of animals, including cats and a pigeon, being shot have emerged since March. The unfortunate fate of a beloved cat, who was apparently shot on two separate occasions, demonstrates the terrifying reality of deliberate animal cruelty. According to reports this cat was initially treated for a pellet lodged in its leg, only to return days later with severe injuries that left it unable to walk. Despite receiving emergency care, the cat reportedly succumbed due to sepsis caused by the femoral fracture. Such shocking incidents are not isolated, as multiple other animals have also apparently suffered in a similar manner sparking grave concerns among local residents and animal welfare organizations.

Reports indicate that the neck of a pigeon was shattered by a pellet, resulting in its euthanization. With reports of at least one other cat dead and several injured due to similar acts, it is evident that immediate action is essential to halt this ghastly trend. The RSPCA has called for greater public awareness and parental education regarding the consequences of harming animals.

This petition demands that a thorough investigation is conducted and appropriate legal actions are taken against those allegedly responsible for this cruelty. The well-being of innocent creatures depends on the enforcement of strict penalties for animal abusers, ensuring that they are met with appropriate justice.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Chief Constable Charles,

Recent reports have surfaced regarding alarming incidents of animals, including multiple cats and a pigeon, being shot in the Hakin area of Milford Haven. A particularly distressing case involved a cat that was apparently shot twice, ultimately leading to its demise due to the severe injuries inflicted. Preliminary visits to the veterinarian allegedly revealed pellets embedded in the cat’s bones, subsequently causing horrific suffering and, ultimately, death.

Another reported case involved a pigeon being shot in such a way that it shattered its wing bones, necessitating euthanization. The RSPCA has raised concerns that these incidents may be indicative of a broader trend of deliberate cruelty towards defenseless animals, asserting the need for heightened community awareness and vigilance. Failure to effectively address these incidents could embolden potential offenders and lead to further animal suffering, which is absolutely unacceptable.

Therefore, this petition calls for a thorough investigation into these heinous crimes and appropriate punishment for the individuals alleged to be involved. It is imperative that a clear message is sent that such actions will not be tolerated and that the welfare of all animals is a priority. Together, we must advocate for justice and ensure the safety of innocent animals in our communities.

Sincerely,
