Demand Justice for Dog Reportedly Left Bloodied and Maimed During Grooming by Owner

Target: District Attorney Jill Lee

Goal: Prosecute and seek maximum penalties against the individual allegedly responsible for severely injuring his dog with sheep shears during grooming.

A dog named Freeze was allegedly left with deep gashes, lost half an ear, and is at risk of losing a leg after his owner reportedly tried to groom him with sheep shears. Blood was reportedly tracked throughout the home, and the dog was allegedly left profusely bleeding in his crate.

Paige Burnett, a friend of the owner’s girlfriend, reportedly witnessed the aftermath during a video call and immediately called the police. Officers responded and worked to save the dog’s life, with one binding his leg to stop the bleeding. The dog required emergency veterinary care, and vet bills have reached about $20,000.

Despite the severity of the alleged injuries inflicted upon Freeze, the owner was only ordered to pay restitution for the vet bills, and the case remains unadjudicated. This alleged act of animal cruelty demands full legal accountability to ensure justice for Freeze and to deter future incidents of such nature. We urge the District Attorney to prosecute this case to the fullest extent of the law.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear District Attorney Jill Lee,

We are writing to express our deep concern over the case involving a dog named Freeze, who was allegedly severely injured by his owner during an attempted grooming with sheep shears. The dog reportedly suffered deep gashes, lost half an ear, and is at risk of losing a leg due to the alleged incident.

Such an alleged act of animal cruelty is both disturbing and unacceptable. It reportedly resulted in the dog bleeding profusely, requiring immediate veterinary attention and incurring substantial medical bills. Allowing such actions to go without full legal consequence may set a dangerous precedent and fail to protect animals from harm.

We urge your office to prosecute this case to the fullest extent of the law and seek the maximum penalties available. Justice for Freeze is not only necessary for this individual case but also serves as a strong message that animal cruelty will not be tolerated in our community.

Sincerely,
[Your Name Here]
