Cows Reportedly Kicked and Hit with Chains on Dairy Farm Deserve Justice

Target: Baroness Sue Hayman, Minister of Animal Welfare, UK

Goal: Enforce animal welfare standards on farms where cows were allegedly kicked, jabbed with sharp objects, and violently dragged over the ground.

Recent undercover footage has apparently exposed appalling abuse of dairy cows at farms supplying Muller and Marks & Spencer. Workers were reportedly caught hitting cows with poles, kicking them, and yelling abusive language in what appeared to be a hostile and cruel environment. In one incident, a worker allegedly jabbed a cow with a sharp object after shouting a slur. The footage also reportedly shows workers using metal chains, ropes, and broom handles to violently strike cows and calves, with one worker dragging a calf as its mother cried out in distress.

These farms, including one previously featured in Marks & Spencer’s advertising as promoting high animal welfare, have been suspended by both M&S and RSPCA Assured while investigations take place. However, the footage has cast serious doubts on the enforcement of animal welfare standards in the dairy industry, particularly after the Red Tractor inspection found no welfare concerns, despite the disturbing video evidence.

Animal welfare advocates, including activist Joey Carbstrong, have expressed concerns that this alleged abuse is far from an isolated incident. Carbstrong claims that abuse like this is common in the dairy industry when workers believe they are not being watched.

This is not just a matter of cruelty, but a fundamental ethical failure. We must demand that the dairy industry adopt stricter regulations, enhance oversight, and ensure that anyone responsible for such inhumane treatment of animals are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Take action now.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Baroness Sue Hayman,

I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the recent undercover footage that allegedly revealed severe cases of animal abuse at dairy farms supplying Muller and Marks & Spencer. The video reportedly shows workers violently attacking cows with metal poles, kicking them, and using aggressive and abusive language, all while the animals allegedly endured extreme fear and distress. In one particularly horrifying instance, a worker was allegedly seen jabbing a cow with a sharp object after angrily shouting at it.

This behavior is utterly unacceptable and highlights systemic failures within the dairy industry. Despite one of the farms being featured in Marks & Spencer’s advertising for promoting high animal welfare standards, the footage apparently reveals appalling mistreatment of animals behind closed doors. These allegations demand immediate and decisive action.

I urge you to pursue the strongest possible penalties against the individuals allegedly responsible for these heinous acts of cruelty. Moreover, it is critical to implement more stringent, independent, and unannounced inspections at all dairy farms to ensure such alleged abuses are not repeated. Those found guilty of animal cruelty must face not only criminal charges but also permanent bans from the industry.

This is not just a matter of upholding the law; it is about basic compassion and decency. Consumers expect transparency and ethical practices from the brands they support. Please take swift and meaningful action to ensure the well-being of animals is always prioritized.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

  1. I don’t eat meat and it still does not stop the animal torture from happening!!!!!!!!!!
Make these savage monsters pretending to be people suffer the same torture!!!!! That’s justice!!!!!

  2. goh maria says:

Please do not let these cowardly bastards go unpunished. If they hate their jobs so much, they could just quit, dont let it out on those poor voiceless harmless sentient beings.
Thank you for installing cctvs in dairy farms, do continue to monitor and penalize animal abusers who think they can get away with murder! Long term jail time, very heavy fines and shutting down of the facilities that refuse to comply with ethical practices to ensure the well-being of animals please!

    • They don’t hate their jobs, they love them, it gives them free reign to torture & abuse these innocent animals with impunity. These are subhumans of the lowest kind kind of cowardly beasts that ever drew breath, they are criminals that deserve to be in a box 6ft under. The vulnerable & the voiceless are always a target for these filthy creatures.

  3. Fire these workers and put new recruits through intensive screening. Content/calm animals result in higher yields, better meat, healthier bodies etc. This is basic stuff all farmers know…. The ENTIRE mass-agri industry, globally, needs an overhaul!

  4. Well I don’t touch dairy or meat products so I’m not a hypocrite and I wouldn’t touch anything made by Muller anyway. However I am a regular customer at Marks & Spencers, or I was until I read this. I am done with them now and Will tell everyone I know to boycott them as well. The SPCA are a also a corrupt useless bunch who should be avoided and ignored, They are all as bad as each other none of them care at all about animal welfare. Especially the food industry mob.

  5. Boycott. Boycott. Boycott. Hit them in the pocket , it’s the only way to protect the animals . AND join PeTA , the most powerful Animal Rights and Welfare Organisation in the world .

  6. Death penalty for bastard abusers, cowards,SOB,POS,burn in hell, motherfuckers!
    Justice for cows and calves!

  7. People feel these are animals with no rights and freedoms and we are the humans that can treat them anyway we want. It’s greed power and disgusting. Some humans feel I can abuse an animal because nothing will be done. How can you drag a baby from its mother and think the animals don’t feel. People are heartless in the food industry and these workers feel it makes them a man and a right to abuse the animals. Hindu consider the cow sacred and look at what we do. But look at our country this is what we allow and all animals are mistreated. Our country is all about money. It’s become a sad place

  8. Dennis Busto says:

Absolutely No Tolerance Towards Animal ABUSERS n Cruelty. An eye for an eye fits this crime n should be the punishment. Hooves Matter

  9. Cruel sick inbred bastards get them sacked and on an animal cruelty register if they own the farm close it down and fine them heavily and ban them from opening or applying to open any farm again

  10. Abusers!!! Stop these fuckers!! Throw them in jail and make them pay now!!! So disgusting and disturbing!!! Poor innocent cows that have no defense!!!

  11. There is NO NEED for this behavior! It sickens me. Cows are the most gentle, zen beings. I grew up with them. They love their families and babies even moreso than humans. How is this allowed??

  12. Urszula Lund says:

The slaughter industry is a LEGALIZED CRIME!!! Don’t participate in this MAFIA-CRIMINALITY!
GO VEGAN and this torture will end once and for all! Even if you save some cows, chickens, turkeys, calves, pigs, and other animals, there are still BILLIONS of other farm-animals imprisoned and tortured behind the impenetrable walls of the GREEDY and CYNICAL slaughter-industry! Don’t contribute to their greed and filthy profits! Vegan is the only ethical lifestyle because it’s 100% CRUELTY-FREE, not based on animal exploitation.
Bacon, pork, lamb, dairy, eggs and other animal-based foods, are products resulting from a shocking animal torture.
If you purchase these products, you are definitely NOT an animal-lover, but an animal-abuser and a hypocrite, because you regularly fund this torture with your animal-based food-purchases! You are complicit in this crime!
Only GOING VEGAN can stop this untold animal-torture and heal the world!

  13. Julie Bates says:

Shame, shame shame UK. What ever happened to ethical treatment for edible animals?
When these bastards ill treat the cow that gives us milk, butter cheese to survive the killing and hurting the golden goose, dumb prick. Don’t they understand anything typical man

  14. Julie Bates says:

If your law had any balls, it would throw this guy into jail and throw away the key for at least a year
