Ban Elephant Rides and Wildlife Exploitation for Fun

Target: Zurab Pololikashvili, Secretary-General of the UN World Tourism Organization

Goal: Ensure that global tourism practices do not support animal cruelty by promoting education and ethical alternatives.

In a tragic incident in Cambodia, an elephant died while being used for tourist rides, sparking outrage and a petition to ban such practices. This event underscores the need for a global shift in how wildlife is treated in the tourism industry.

Elephants and other exotic animals, such as tigers, monkeys, and bears, are often kept in captivity and exploited for entertainment, causing them immense suffering. The travel industry must prioritize animal welfare by avoiding partnerships with businesses involved in animal exploitation and encouraging ethical wildlife experiences.

Education is crucial to raise awareness among travelers about the impact of their choices on animal welfare. Protect these magnificent creatures and preserve their natural habitats.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Zurab Pololikashvili,

I am writing to urge your organization to take a stand against wildlife exploitation in the tourism industry. The recent incident in Cambodia, where an elephant died while being used for tourist rides, highlights the urgent need for change. Elephants and other animals are often subjected to cruelty for the sake of entertainment, leading to suffering and death.

I ask you to promote ethical tourism practices that do not support animal abuse. Encourage travel companies to offer wildlife experiences that respect the well-being of animals and educate tourists on the impact of their choices. It is crucial to protect wildlife and ensure their preservation for future generations.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

Someone is guilty or murdering this elephant. Someone made it work whilst it was not strong or healthy enough to withstand the work. Someone failed to give this elephant the care and humane treatment it required. Someone made money out of its suffering. Someone should be made to pay for this murder.
