Target: Fayetteville Police Chief
Goal: Ensure your police officer faces severe legal and disciplinary actions for his apparently brutal abuse of his K-9.
A disturbing video has surfaced showing a Fayetteville police officer allegedly abusing a K-9 during a traffic stop. The officer is apparently seen in the video striking the dog multiple times, lifting it by the collar, and dragging it towards his car. This incident has sparked outrage and condemnation from the community, as well as animal rights organizations.
The video, posted on Facebook by a bystander, apparently shows the officer punching the dog three times while holding its collar. The video then appears to show the officer draging the dog, suspending it in the air by its collar, and swinging it by the muzzle. The incident reportedly occurred after the K-9 bit the officer during a vehicle search, with the officer claiming the punches were necessary to release the bite. However, the treatment of the dog has raised serious concerns about the handling and training of police K-9s.
Animal rights groups and experts have condemned the officer’s actions, calling for immediate removal of the K-9 from the officer’s care. The alleged abuse highlights the need for humane training methods and proper accountability for those entrusted with the care of service animals. The Fayetteville Police Department must take decisive action to ensure justice for the K-9 and prevent future incidents of cruelty.
PETITION LETTER:
Dear Fayetteville Police Chief,
The recent video showing a Fayetteville police officer allegedly abusing a K-9 has brought to light serious concerns about the treatment and handling of police dogs. The officer is apparently seen in the video striking the dog multiple times, lifting it by the collar, and dragging it towards his car. This incident has sparked outrage and condemnation from the community and animal rights organizations.
The actions of the officer, as depicted in the video, are deeply troubling. The treatment of the K-9, including apparently striking and dragging the animal, is unacceptable and highlights a need for proper accountability and humane training methods. Animal rights groups have called for the immediate removal of the K-9 from the officer’s care.
We urge you to take swift and decisive action to address this issue. It is imperative that the officer faces appropriate legal and disciplinary actions for the alleged abuse of the K-9. Ensuring justice for the K-9 and preventing future incidents of cruelty is crucial in upholding the values of humane treatment and accountability within the Fayetteville Police Department.
Sincerely,

When contacted, the response from authorities was that the
person was “disciplining” the dog! Am certain this is NOT
the proper way to train a dog or get his cooperation. The
monster needs to be fired and the dog needs to go to a safe
place.
This police officer seems to have forgotten why he became an officer. Was he taking his lack of patience and perhaps his power by horrifically punching and swinging the dog? Does this action make him feel important? he definitely needs to enroll in anger management and until that time should not have any canine left in his company. This action is unacceptable. It’s unacceptable by anyone.

That is not how to discipline a dog
This is animal abuse and then people wonder why dogs turn on people
This man should have this dog taken away and taken off this job
He will never be able to be trusted with a dog if he does this
just on a search
Poor dog thats animal cruelty
I’ve always thought one of the biggest risks of police canines is abuse by their handlers.Police dogs are sent in ahead of officers in very dangerous situations, which I don’t agree with in the first place, only to be mistreated and harmed by the very officers they are protecting. That infuriates me. Police are used to being extremely rough and sometimes violent toward a perpetrator when they need to be. I think that carries over to their canines when officers think they aren’t doing what they think they should be doing..it’s almost reflexive. The ingrained instincts police are used to when dealing with criminals should not be their first instinct when dealing with their protectors, their dogs. Police need to lower the temperature, and the adrenaline, when dealing with their dogs, or get the necessary training to be able to discern the difference between criminal and dog. This officer needs to attend anger management classes, if he doesn’t improve his beat first, ask questions later attitude, he should be fired without question.
This cop is a piece of human trash and should be eliminated from the police department immediately. This is horrific animal abuse
and should not be tolerated under any circumstances.
He ain’t no cop…. he is an Animal Abuser! Good for nothing!
He… it… Deserves to be mauled to death!
What a pos loser! Take this dog away from him! I don’t care what the department says about training dogs. They are wrong!
