Community Dog Allegedly Fatally Injured by Reckless Driver Deserves Justice

Target: Arun Dev Gautam, Director of Directorate Public Prosecution Chhattisgarh, India

Goal: Ensure rigorous prosecution of the individual allegedly responsible for the fatal injury of a community dog due to reckless driving.

A community dog in Raipur, the capital of the Indian state of Chhattisgarh, reportedly suffered a fatal injury after being run over by a vehicle. The act, reportedly captured on CCTV and witnessed by locals, illustrates a grave disregard for animal life and public safety. Allegedly, the driver, identified and summoned by the civil lines police station, failed to make any attempt to aid the injured dog, highlighting a concerning lack of empathy and responsibility.

Eyewitness accounts and video evidence form the basis of the report filed for alleged rash driving and harming an animal. This reported incident underscores not only the perilous consequences of negligent driving but also the broader issue of animal rights and welfare within our communities. The involvement of Dr. Kiran Ahuja of PETA, along with local activists, in lodging the complaint, brings to light the necessity for immediate and decisive action to address such injustices.

The necessity for this petition arises from a deep concern for both animal welfare and public safety. It serves as a call for accountability, urging that those allegedly responsible for such acts of cruelty face the full extent of the law. Take immediate action.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Arun Dev Gautam,

A deeply troubling incident recently unfolded in the Shanti Nagar area of Raipur, where a community dog was fatally injured by a vehicle, allegedly without any ensuing attempt by the driver to provide assistance. This event, reportedly supported by eyewitness statements and CCTV footage, not only reveals a stark disregard for animal life but also poses significant concerns about public safety and driving ethics in our community.

The Civil Lines police station has taken commendable steps by filing a report, acting on the complaints of Dr. Kiran Ahuja of PETA and local activists. However, this case transcends the immediate legal proceedings and touches upon the broader societal values of compassion, responsibility, and respect for life. It highlights a pressing need for a stringent legal stance against such acts of alleged negligence and cruelty to prevent future occurrences and to foster a community that values and protects its most vulnerable members.

We, therefore, urge you to ensure a rigorous prosecution of the individual allegedly responsible for this act. By doing so, you will be sending a powerful message that our community does not tolerate negligence towards animal life and that such actions will be met with the full force of the law. This case represents an opportunity to affirm our collective commitment to justice, compassion, and the well-being of all beings within our society.

Sincerely,

Might have known that this heinous atrocity has taken place in INDIA…SURELY ONE OF THE MOST DEPRAVED, SADISTIC, BARBARIC, CRUEL, BRUTAL countries on this planet. What the hell is going on in this country, have the masses been so in-bred that they have developed a mind-set of depravity with NO MORAL ETHICS WHATSOEVER. Gandhi must be thoroughly ashamed and disgusted at the present state of his beloved country where government and police have no control whatsoever and couldn’t care less themselves anyway.
