Justice for Animals Allegedly Forced to Drink Dirty Dishwater

Target: Mike Kagay, District Attorney of Shawnee County, Kansas, US

Goal: Ensure stringent prosecution for the individuals charged with severe neglect and cruelty toward 73 animals.

Allegations have surfaced involving Charles Solomon and Desiree E. Therrien, both implicated in a distressing case of animal cruelty and neglect in Topeka, and according to reports, police and animal welfare officers discovered 73 animals in appalling conditions within a residence, with 18 tragically found deceased. Most disturbing were the reported scenes of desperate animals, including a cat forced to drink dirty dishwater and dogs visibly underweight, indicating a prolonged period of suffering.

Further investigations reportedly revealed more harrowing details: some animals were afflicted with severe medical conditions, including untreated tumors. This grim discovery, underscored by the comments from local authorities and the Humane Society, paints a vivid picture of reported neglect. The concerted effort by the police and animal welfare organizations to rescue the survivors and provide necessary medical care highlights the urgency and severity of the situation.

The alleged acts of cruelty demand a resolute response. Those responsible for such apparent neglect must face full legal accountability. Call upon the District Attorney of Shawnee County to pursue rigorous prosecution of the accused individuals, ensuring that justice is served for the innocent animals who endured unimaginable suffering.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear DA Mike Kagay,

The recent rescue operation in Topeka, revealing 73 animals in seemingly severe neglect, shocked and saddened the community. The details reported from the scene – animals living in hazardous conditions, some with severe health issues unattended, and 18 found dead – demand not just our attention but our immediate action.

The involvement of Charles Solomon and Desiree E. Therrien in this alleged cruelty cannot be overlooked. As the District Attorney, your role in bringing justice to these voiceless victims is crucial. The community looks to your office to uphold the law and ensure that heinous acts of neglect and cruelty are met with the full force of the legal system.

We urge you to ensure a thorough and resolute prosecution of the accused individuals. It is only through stringent legal repercussions that we can hope to prevent such atrocities from occurring in the future. The eyes of the concerned public are upon you, awaiting justice for these animals who suffered needlessly.

Sincerely,

  1. These people will walk away and commit other horrible crimes abusing animals which can not speak up for themselves. These devils will be able to fill their next house of horrors with more trusting animals to kill and starve. These two people need to be starved and no I’m not kidding. To have people become so hungry they can see how it feels when they starve others is the only way to stop this hell from repeating again and again. Two weeks should be enough time to lock them in a house with police outside to quell an escape. Barely any water for them to drink which is so much kinder than they were to the poor animals they hurt and killed. Most importantly do not allow them to have any animals in the future! They don’t deserve animals. Also have them pay for ALL medical costs with surviving animals. And for good measure, take away their driver’s licenses for a year!

  2. Save they courts time and just shot those two bastards

  3. Hello to all animal lovers. Let us all focus on serving justice to Desiree Therrien and Charles Solomon. The psychological problem that is behind this case of animal abuse could quickly spread to society and human beings if these people are not severely prosecuted. Please view the mugshots of both of these people. Charles Solomon looks unkept physically and has a very evil facial expression in that photo. These are not people who you would want to babysit your young children. I find the Facebook encounter of the girl who took five Dane pups a few days prior very enlightening and shed some light on these individuals. Evil people who should not actually be allowed to circulate in society. Let’s ask and take action to get accountability for each animal. Please review the Adam Britton case and Van Woert case to ask for justice in those situations of extreme animal cruelty and suffering. Dog Fighters…we’re coming for you! Evil is indeed among us.
