Reports of Shocking Cruelty at Slaughterhouses, Including Calves Drowning in Own Blood, Must be Prosecuted

Target: Joanne Palmer, Tasmanian Minister for Primary Industries and Water

Goal: Implement immediate legal action against those responsible for the cruelty in Tasmanian slaughterhouses and enforce strict animal welfare regulations.

Tasmanian slaughterhouses have become centers of horror, according to recent investigations. Disturbing footage has apparently uncovered a bleak reality: animals, including pigs, cows, and calves, facing egregious cruelty. These sentient beings allegedly endure unimaginable suffering–some slaughtered fully conscious, others regaining awareness mid-slaughter. In one abhorrent instance, calves reportedly killed without stunning, one drowning in its own blood. This appears to be a stark violation of the most basic animal welfare standards.

Further details appear to expose a broader, more systemic issue. Workers allegedly resort to brutal methods, including multiple shots, physical abuse, and even jumping on terrified animals. This alleged cruelty appears to be not isolated but indicative of a larger failure in regulatory oversight. Despite previous reports of similar atrocities in 2016, little to no action has been taken. This inaction suggests a concerning disregard for animal welfare and a broken regulatory system, failing those it’s meant to protect.

Immediate legal action against those responsible for these atrocities is imperative. The existing regulatory framework must undergo a thorough overhaul to ensure such cruelty never recurs. Demand stringent enforcement of animal welfare standards and accountability for these alleged acts of cruelty.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Joanne Palmer,

Recent investigations into Tasmanian slaughterhouses have apparently unveiled a disturbing reality. Allegations of severe animal cruelty in these facilities are not only shocking but also indicative of a systemic failure in regulatory oversight. Animals, including young calves, reportedly endure extreme suffering–some killed while fully conscious, a clear breach of ethical and legal standards.

The depth of this alleged cruelty is alarming. Animals reportedly face brutal, inhumane treatment, including physical abuse and terrifying methods to force them into slaughter. This appears to not only represent a failure to protect these animals but also a blatant disregard for existing welfare regulations. The continued operation of these facilities, despite previous allegations, suggests a significant breakdown in the system meant to safeguard animal welfare.

We urge you to take immediate legal action against those responsible for these atrocities. It is crucial to enforce stricter animal welfare regulations and ensure accountability for these alleged acts of cruelty. Without decisive action, the integrity of the regulatory system and the welfare of countless animals remain at grave risk. We demand justice and reform to prevent future occurrences of such inhumane treatment.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

I don’t eat meat, as it seems to be the occupation of psychopaths.

  2. People who work in slaughter houses are really sick and disgusting they all should be hung

    • Urszula Lund says:

If you are not vegan, YOU fund the existance of slaughterhouses and those who work there.

GO VEGAN, don’t be a hypocrite!

      • Mia Whiteoak says:

Thank you. People hate to admit that they’re the reason that animals end up in the slaughterhouse in the first place. So if they really actually cared, they would go vegan

    • Tammy Rossetti says:

      You bet they should!

  3. cristina nagy says:

Horrible desde donde se lo mire.

  4. Sickening and disgusting!!!! Torture isn’t necessary!! Bastards!!

    • Amen to that they are just sick demented people that do anything like this to a human and get by with it. All cowards!!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬

  5. Urszula Lund says:

GO VEGAN and this hell will end! Even if you save some turkeys, calves, pigs, chickens and other animals, there are still BILLIONS of other farm-animals imprisoned and tortured behind the impenetrable walls of the GREEDY and CYNICAL slaughter-industry! Don’t contribute to their greed and filthy profits!
Vegan is the only ethical lifestyle because it’s 100% CRUELTY-FREE, not based on animal exploitation.
A large assortment of vegan foods is available in all supermarkets! Bacon, pork, lamb, cheese and eggs are products resulting from a shocking animal torture. If you purchase these products, you are definitely NOT an animal-lover, but an animal-abuser and a hypocrite, because you regularly finance this torture with your food-purchases!
Rescuing ONE animal won’t change the world, but GOING VEGAN absolutely will!

    • True words. In the US alone 23 million animals are killed everyday for consumption. WE have to change this, we have to stop eating animals.

    • Gilda Provenzano says:

AND VEGAN FOOD IS CHEAPER. And i make my own vegan foods. People think it is more expensive to eat vegan. I am considered in the poor range but me and my brother eat FRESH AND HEALTHY VEGAN MEALS.

    • Tammy Rossetti says:

That is the very best solution because people will always be evil and putrid.

  6. Eating animals, we should not be. All animals are sentient individuals, and this factory farming has to stop. Animals were not put on the earth to be exploited, abused, killed, used for fur, repeatedly impregnated to have their babies ripped from them for their milk. We have to change. For our planet, for ourselves, for the animals. Please choose kindness.

    • Gilda Provenzano says:

And women need to stop buying make- up that tortures animals!! BUY ELF MAKEUP.Great line of beauty products. Using products for nearly 20 years.

      • Tammy Rossetti says:

There’s tons of cruelty free products, shampoos, make up etc. Easy to do. I don’t remember the last time I didn’t check the label first. Also don’t forget leather….

  7. Carol Pearce says:

This is horrendous, cruel and disgusting. I am a vegetarian. I don’t eat anything with eyes. Never missed it. This dreadful practice HAS TO END. Animals FEEL, they have feelings just as we do. Don’t know how anyone with a heartbeat can work there.

  8. Willuam Turner says:

Decent people of tasmania find out where this slaughterhouse is.Remove the animals waiting to be killed and burn it down. The people working in this place are mentally disturbed and should be put in mental hospitals

  9. Gilda Provenzano says:

    I DETEST FUCKING HUMANS.

  10. This is yet another story about the victims of abuse. It happens everyday but shouldn’t happen at all. Humans are the worst of the animal kingdom. We have every advantage and use that to make the lives of animals beyond miserable and improve only our own lives. Are people born this way? If not what makes them so evil? No wonder people all around the world are not well. People seem ridden with anxiety, not able to find peace and yet are forced to live the way animals are forced to die. The secret word is FORCED. Force is effective yet it denies people their free choice. Animals have no choice and are forced to die so we may live. We ask, are we worth it?

  11. Jail the creeps

  12. Susan Rodriguez says:

This is horrendous. Cruelty like this should not be tolerated. These poor defenceless animals should not be treated in this disgusting way. These people who work in slaughterhouses sound soulless and cruel.
This needs to be fully investigated and those responsible severely punished.
I don’t eat meat because of this but there should not be unnecessary cruelty involved.

  13. For people (monsters) to treat living beings like this is horrible. I do want to say this….the meat industry is not going anywhere. Too many people who love their meat. Too many people who rely on the killing of animals to fund their businesses…just think how many restaurants…expensive restaurants… would go under without the ability to do this? Not to mention ALL the fast food places. You can go vegetarian or vegan…great…but many will not and where there is a demand there will always be a supply. Terrible. However these MOFOs who do this to animals who are going to be killed…may they rot in hell.

    • Gilda Provenzano says:

This is very true. Meat industry is not going anywhere. Meat eaters are heathier.BULLSHIT!!

  14. Maria Nowicki says:

Anyone who continues to eat meat is as responsible for this abuse
and cruelty as the workers who are employed at the slaughterhouses. To be horrified at this abuse and still eat meat, is being a complete hypocrite!

  15. They have no feeling or conscience. These animals feel pain and terror.

  16. Maria Lavorato says:

    Joanne Palmer…..

THESE ATROCITIES NEED TO END NOW!!! YOU NEED TO END ALL CRUELTY WITH LEGISLATURE TO MAKE ALL ANIMAL CRUELTY A FELONY. THEN MONITOR AND ENFORCE YOUR LAWS!

This is beyond all comprehension. These beautiful animals FEEL EVERYTHING! PROSECUTE ALL GUILTY PARTIES AND NEVER EVER LET THEM NEAR ANOTHER ANIMAL FOR LIFE…

ANY ONE GUILTY….I HOPE YOU FEEL, FOR ETERNITY, ALL THE TORTURE YOU GAVE!!!!

If everyone could stop eating animals….

  17. Victoria says:

    Justiceeee

  18. I just don’t see how it’s at all possible to have slaughterhouse employees who have any regard for animal suffering. You cannot love or even like animals and work in a slaughterhouse. That only leaves those who feel nothing for them, or worse.

  19. Billy "The WiZaRd" Angus says:

ALL SLAUGHTERHOUSES SHOULD BE SHUT DOWWN
ONCE AND FOR ALL AND DEMOLISHED UNTIL THERE
ISN’T A TRACE OF RUBBLE LEFT ON THE FACE OF
    THIS EARTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  20. Cindy Miller says:

Theses humans that work there & did this shit should be shot!!
