Dogs Reportedly Found Dead, Liquefied and Crammed in Freezers Deserve Justice

Target: Mr. Richard K. Jones, Sheriff of Butler County, Ohio, United States

Goal: Demand an immediate and thorough investigation into the allegedly deplorable conditions and mistreatment of dogs at an animal rescue.

An appalling incident of animal cruelty has apparently been uncovered at the Helping Hands for Furry Paws animal rescue in Madison Township, Ohio. The Butler County Sheriff’s Office, during a rescue operation, reportedly found at least 30 dead dogs and dozens of living dogs living in deplorable conditions that have been described as “the most horrible they have ever seen.”

Dog wardens, acting on reports of animal neglect, reportedly seized 90 living dogs and puppies from the rescue facility. Shockingly, at least 30 additional dogs were allegedly found dead in various states of decomposition, crammed into five different refrigerators and freezers, some of which were non-functional.

The surviving dogs, including adult dogs and puppies, were reportedly confined to several structures on two separate properties. One of these structures, a single garage, housed more than 25 dogs with allegedly no proper ventilation or air conditioning, resulting in an indoor temperature of 89 degrees.

Sign below and demand a thorough investigation into this case so that justice may be served.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Mr. Richard K. Jones,

We are writing to express our deep concern and outrage regarding the appalling conditions and mistreatment of dogs apparently found at Helping Hands for Furry Paws animal rescue in Madison Township, Ohio. The discovery of at least 30 dead dogs and dozens of living dogs living in deplorable conditions has deeply shocked and saddened us.

We request to take immediate and decisive action by launching a thorough investigation into this case. The alleged mistreatment and neglect of these innocent animals demands justice and accountability for those responsible for their suffering.

The conditions these dogs were subjected to are reportedly a grave violation of ethical principles and animal welfare laws. The apparent loss of so many lives and the suffering of those who survived underscores the urgency and seriousness of this situation. We demand that all available resources and efforts be devoted to investigating and charging the individuals responsible for this seemingly heinous act of cruelty.

Moreover, we call upon you to work with relevant authorities to implement comprehensive measures to safeguard the welfare of animals in rescue facilities across Butler County. It is crucial to ensure that such incidents of animal cruelty are prevented and that rescue organizations adhere to the highest standards of care for the animals under their guardianship.

Sincerely,

  1. Rescue organization my ass. These are some really sick people who belong in jail after hefty fines. What kind of nonhumans are these posing as a rescue then killing or abusing these poor animal. Sheriff please don’t let them off with a slap on the wrist!!

  2. Cynthia Anne Pisarcik says:

The people responsible for this cruel treatment deserves no mercy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They should be given same treatment!!!

Justice for these INNOCENT dogs !!

Law enforcement do your job !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. The very fact that this is a supposed rescue organization just magnifies the heinousness of this crime. The actions of the rescue workers show a total disregard for the work they claimed to be dong and for the welfare and lives of the poor animals trapped in this nightmare. These are adults, they knew what they were doing and did it anyway, they showed no mercy and they deserve none themselves. Fines big enough to cover the cost of dealing with the animals under vet care and of the case itself, prison time and lifetime bans on animal contact. They are not worth the cost of keeping them in jail so they should pay for that too.

  4. Justice for dogs! RIP
    Death penalty for bastard killers/abusers.

  5. Cindy Miller says:

Need to have some kind of group doing check-in on rescues. They take money & neglect the animals! Thrses people that run this hell hole rescue should not have contact with any animal what so ever & needs to pay for the treatment of theses poor dogs! 💔💔💔

  6. I totally agree with all the outraged animal lovers here. But I wonder do any of you help out at the good places? Do any of you go and check out places that advertise as rescues? Pets die in back yards, where were the neighbours to report and help? We hear about dogs and cats living on the street for years, why no help before years pass?
EVIL CAN ONLY FLOURISH WHEN GOOD MEN (PEOPLE) LOOK THE OTHER WAY

    • Gilda Provenzano says:

Yes! Two groups i volunteer for are 1000 percent legit! If i saw anything strange you bet i would make it public.

  7. All staff at Helping Hands for Furry Paws animal rescue are scum and EVIL! Put them ALL in jail for a VERY LONG TIME.

  8. These sick garbage so called people should rot in jail

  9. Aprille Gilmore says:

Thus kind of thing wouldn’t happen if shelters were licensed and funds made available for regular inspections and enforcement. We need stricter laws, more strident standards, harsher punishment and $ to inspect and enforce…or why bother at all. ALL ANIMALS are profoundly vulnerable to every idiot with a backyard or barn. Please investigate, bring charges AND jail time. These places are torture chambers and they are everywhere.

  10. Susan Rodriguez says:

This is absolutely appalling and totally unacceptable! Rescues need to be regularly monitored. These people who run this one need to be punished to the full extent of the law and banned from owning or supposedly rescuing any animals. They must be deplorable people to treat animals in this way!

  11. Patricia Williams says:

Sick of hearing about the scumbags that prey on the innocent and voiceless. Our criminals have to be treated humanely with special diets, air conditioning, too crowded, etc… How about the Totally innocent? Where is humanity to treat them humanely?? So these POS that maim, kill, torture and starve have No humanity and should be treated in the way they ‘understand’. Prosecute to the Max. Confiscate everything they own to pay for rehab, medical treatment, food. Help support them until they find homes. There is no one to blame but these disgusting scabs on the butt of humanity.

  12. Monstrous monstrous evil, heartbreaking and horrific, karma is theirs – I feel you, poor lost innocent souls; their blood on your souls

The abuse, torture & murder of the innocents

Some heartbreaks can never be unseen, some horrors never unheard – PLEASE GOD

And the universe weeps tears of blood

Your life as theirs, as their death

  13. Wendy+Morrison says:

MAKE ALL THESE CRUEL ABUSIVE ASSHOLES LIVE IN THE EXACT ENVIRONMENT AS THESE INNOCENT DOGS AND PUPPIES WETE MADE TOO!! CRAM ALL THESE CRUEL ABUSIVE IDIOTS INTO A SMALL CONFINED AREA WITHOUT ANY ACCESS TO AIR CONDITIONING AND/OR HEAT WITHOUT ANY FOOD AND/OR WATER FOR THE REST OF THEIR MISERABLE LIVES!!!! CLOSE THAT CRUEL ABUSIVE ANIMAL RESCUE SHELTER IN OHIO FOR GOOD IMMEDIATELY!!!!@

  14. There are too many of these horror stories and all concerning supposedly viable shelter for animals, especially dogs. Here we have yet another example of a rescue making a profit but treating their guest as victims, which they were! Is there no oversight? There needs to be so dogs and other living beings aren’t picked up off the streets to be tortured like this. Owners of the rescue and workers need to be interviewed so authorities can understand just what happened and how long this tragedy has been going on. People think these shelters are good places for lost, abandoned and ill dogs but they are death traps instead. Close these death camps!

  15. Debra Goldstein-Lustig says:

THIS IS AN OUTRAGE. PEOPLE LIKE MYSELF HAVE DONATED TO DIFFERENT RESCUE ORGANIZATIONS IN SN EFFORT TO SUPPORT THOSE TRYING TO HELP INNOCENT ANIMALS. NOW OUR GOVT MUST STEP UP AND INVESTIGATE THE VALIDITY OF SAID RESCUE GROUPS. THOSE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS HORRIFIC ACT OF ANIMAL ABUSE AND CRUELTY MUST ALL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE AND PROSECUTED TO THE FULL EXTENT OF THE LAW. MAYBE A BETTER IDEA WOULD BE TO LOCK THEM ALL ON A FREEZER AND LET THEM DIE A SLOW DEATH.

  16. These people again? How is this place still in operation?

  17. Maria Lavorato says:

Richard K. Jones, Sheriff of Butler County, Ohio, United States

Animal Rescue!? Poor sweet little angels. Lord please give them their turn at happiness. Please find the living animals real happy, safe forever homes.

Sheriff, all involved at Helping Hands for Furry Paws need to be held accountable! These are monsters posing as animal rescue. They should be jailed and treated with the same regard they had for all these innocent beings they tortured. I want them to suffer to the extreme! Please see to it.

  18. Marcia Walker says:

This is a twisted mental dirt bag that needs the same treatment.

  19. Dennis Busto says:

Laws need to be changed for these rescue facilities to at least twice a year. Their in the service of rescuing lost and abandoned dogs/cats and caring for them. It should be MANDATORY. ABSOLUTELY NO TOLERANCE TOWARDS ANIMAL ABUSERS AND CRUELTY

  20. Off with their Heads! & if any males involved
Off with the other Heads, if u get my drift 🤨.
