End Hunting of Unique Threatened Wild Cats

Target: Gustavo Petro, President of Colombia

Goal: Advocate for the establishment of a national park for the protection of the jaguarundi, which is threatened by habitat loss, deforestation, and hunting.

The jaguarundi is a small wild cat species found in Central and South America, including in Colombia. Unfortunately, the jaguarundi is facing numerous threats to its survival, including habitat loss, deforestation, and hunting. Without immediate action, the jaguarundi could become extinct in the near future, which would have significant ecological and cultural impacts on Colombia and the region.

To protect the jaguarundi, we need to establish a national park that would serve as a protected area for the species and its habitat. This would involve working with local communities and stakeholders to create a plan for the park’s management and protection, as well as investing in scientific research and monitoring to better understand the needs of the jaguarundi and its habitat.

Through the establishment of a national park for the jaguarundi, we can protect the species and its habitat, as well as promote ecotourism and sustainable development in the region.

Sign below and demand President Petro take action and support the establishment of a national park for the protection of the jaguarundi.
